The pronunciation of Māori is butchered, badly. It’s pronounced Mao-rhi. MAO (Like Chairman Mao) RHI (like Rhianna). Secondly Māori never ate the heads. It’s considered sacred compared to other parts of the body.

Actually it’s really pronounced Mao-li since R is pronounced as L in Māori language. But they way they pronounced it is unrecognisable
