Awesome, learned what little I know about kayak fishing here on Oahu from your vids and now you’re fishing my old hood. Grew up fishing the Texas coast, never saw a cobia like that! Plenty of hard heads and mosquitoes though lol…welcome to the gulf coast. If you can’t get any other bait, clip the fins on those little hard heads and throw em on a hook. Caught a few fish that way back in the day

I can't believe no one warned you about the Hard-heads. Getting stuck can ruin a trip in a hurry. In fact it can ruin your month if you get stuck deep enough.

Hey Dan, way to apply your kayak fishing skills in TX! How do you like that soft bait tube you used vs the PVC type?

Hey bro, it was my friends and it didn’t work all that well. Additionally it didn’t float when I tried to drift the tube to my friend. Might be good for oama or some small bait fish. I would use the PVC over the soft one anyway. I have moved on the from the tube now to a molded fiberglass livewell.

Not all that much when compared to my revo or even my outback. I like that the revo is lower to the water and narrower. I like the revo drive for speed, but the OT drive seemed really sturdy. Track mounts and stuff were good like on my outback. Steering was about on par with my revo, not super great. The hull was water tight, which is something I can’t say about my revo. Smaller kayak makes your fish look bigger 😂. If I get a kayak besides my revo or outback it will probably be a stealth fiber glass kayak, not like I need one anytime soon. Thanks for watching guys. I’m sure some people like the old town over my preferences.

I thought you'd NEVER drop the pdl drive!😂 You were killing yourself in a Predator/Bigwater PDL made for rough conditions.😂😂😂 Great video(s)! Liked & Sub'd!😎 Time the breaks, push slightly above knee level, a couple of paddles to time the breaks, then drop, lock, and let your PDL work for you. You can easily hit 3.5mph through chop on at a leisurely pace. That's a savage kayak built for savage conditions. You actually got a pretty average surf at launch.

Lol I have always had a bad mouth, but I usually refrain from running it when I am filming. On some level it’s a byproduct of the last year. I also didn’t attempt to bleep or cut any of it out. First kid coming next week so it’s going to be quite a while before I can sneak back to Hawaii for some fishing.
