Way back in 1974 while in the Navy during a 6 month deployment in the Mediterranean we stopped at the Azores and we painted our ships numbers and a logo on a wall right at the port, I'm sure it's long gone by now but you guys reminded me of a fond memory.

Ahhh, that post-passage feeling of achievement coupled with a slight sense of discombobulation (I love that word) that lasts for a couple of days is coming right back to me. Well done, all three of you, you’re indeed now members of the community that have crossed the pond West to East. If you’ve a mind to do it, by tradition you’ve each earned an anchor tattoo, which is specific to an Atlantic crossing. Come to that, at 5000 nautical miles you also qualify for a swallow each and I’m guessing you’ll be getting close to that fairly soon, if not already. Anyhow, whether tats are your thing or not doesn’t matter a bit, I’m just so happy to see you achieve this milestone, you’ve earned it. Enjoy a bit of chill time, give the rig some love, fix the inevitable odds and ends that have had a gremlin attack and then enjoy the cruise to Gib and beyond. All the best, R. 😎👍🍻

Hi 👋, That was a great voyage over the Atlantic, then to get into port and be hit by the storm not nice, The caves are amazing, I have listened to music 🎶 where people have played their instruments inside the caves. It gives a great presence. There is a group of people that sing Viking music and they have used caves and cliffs as a backdrop to project the music out., great to see you all safe and sound, I have been looking 👀 at the start of your adventure, buying your yacht, repairing it which you done amazing , and parts of your voyage, Stay safe, Phil from the moulin France,

Great hearing from you again. As coast dwellers in Georgia, we do watch Atlantic activity this time of year, especially given warm waters. Seems like several of the big weather waves coming off the Sahara have stayed south, worked around a high, then slingshotted NE well before the Americas. The Azores seem to be along the curb of their watery highway. Looks like one grazed the Azores. Glad all is well.

So Brett, let me get this straight, you had a stupendously great Atlantic crossing in the company of two gorgeous women and two extremely well behaved dogs, and now you are lazing away the days on some of the nicest islands in the world. All I can say is that it is a good job you aren’t English like me or you would be sat there waiting for the metaphorical axe to fall and find it’s all been a dream! Dream life guys, enjoy it all as long as you keep us along! Whoops, it’s come true, I just got to the windy bit, sorry if I jinxed you.
