I'm really surprised that other sponsored KZbinrs haven't already put together a how-to for onX. This is the most comprehensive overview video that I've ever seen of onX.

I do extensive research of areas I want to go, adding waypoints and notes using my desktop computer. then I can download the maps and information I need for a trip to my cell phone for use in "airplane mode." Works flawlessly as I explore in either my '96 Taco or my '20 Pioneer 1000-5. It's so easy to use. Once back from a trip, I open the data on my desktop again to upload photos and edit my tracks and waypoints.

This is all amazing but I have one question. Is there a way to get directions to the trailheads? Like where to park to unload my side by side?
@leftystrat622 жыл бұрын
The information @15:17- 15:45 was sooo helpful for a paper map shredding old school dude like me to hear. I still struggle with this tech stuff, but I might now be willing to give it a go after understanding how simple it is to do. Just thought you'd like to know that type of information can still be worth taking the time to explain. cheers

If I dont know how to get to the trail head. Do I use a waypoint to help me get there or does it link up with a gps and gives me turn by turn directions ?

I tried using onX but they had no trails listed for Michigan, Wisconsin or Illinois. I'll download it again and see if I missed how to activate this properly.

Great product; I just got the basic subscription so haven’t had a chance to dive in. Will the BDRs be an option on the app as well? Just returned from completing the CABDR and completed the AZBDR late last year. Enjoyed being able to download a full route and go!

When are you guys going to make all the cool stuff work in landscape mode? Don't say we will lose screen area, because you can make all that work on one sidebar and not lose much viewing area. Most everyone uses it in landscape mode. Fabrats, Mischief Maker, and many more. Only people using it in portrait mode are using it on a phone. Cruzing in a jeep or side by side using a phone is hard but a 10 inch tablet mounted to the dash is easy to see and use. When you need the MY Content folder, you have to stop the car, remove the tablet, turn it, open folder, get you content and put it all back to gether then take off again, kind of a pain. Standing up the tablet in portrait or phone mode hinders forward view or covers switches on the dash. If you can add 3D views, active Fire, weather reports and other Emergency warnings, you can do this.
