What are your thoughts on full aluminum bumpers on an overland build? I'm in between on the choice between aluminum and steel and I know you all have run aluminum on a few rigs so would you recommend it over steel or no?

Absolutely love this build. Looks amazing and quite the transformation from how it started. Personally, I would like to see the spare tire carrier a little more tucked in and maybe a horizontal traction board mount. But overall, WOW!

@@Jake-et3po Hopefully someone will let us know. I am looking at deleting the rear seat in my Colorado. I had thought about using plywood with bed liner; however, it something like this is strong a durable enough, it would be a good solution. Hopefully someone from XO will read these and comment. 🤞

@BaconCruiser Жыл бұрын
Only if you plan on keeping it stock or doing a preload lift e.g. Westcott Designs. If you plan on adding your own suspension you’re better off getting a SR5 or Limited trim with the TRD off road package, that way you get the rear locker and Crawl Control and you can use the savings towards a set of Kings/Fox/Icon and some new UCAs.

People are watching these videos and thinking let me do same. But they are not all understand us vs company with sponsors. I know thru my skin how much cost each small thingy to your truck. just wheels like - 3k plus 600 to fit into the wheel well, lift like 2 K plus 2 K to install, bumpers 3K plus 1 K for the installation, skids plate 2 K plus about 1 k to install, wrap - 3K and , lie tailgate plate 600 - a very expensive hobby. But lie initial investmarn was 10 K - RTT, drawers, roof rack, overbed cross bars, water 10 gallons, kitchen. I'm ok with all these videos but not not ok with they don't say about cost, jus trying help to sell this idea - overloading w/o cost mentioned.
@joshe1165 Жыл бұрын
These are not videos about cost but what can be done, if you can't afford and want to complain about how much they cost then don't watch it...we all know how much these builds are and there are plenty of us that can afford them...if you want to watch budget build videos there are tons of those out there too...remember, this is also there business, they get paid for the ads, sponsors, builds, prototypes, etc.
@phlfly10 Жыл бұрын
@Josh E I know it's not but my point is any build overland truck looks awesome from viewer point as brings actually more views than actual overland video. That is amazing phenomenon of KZbin videos reality. So they do making money on each click so they should share a cost of build as well.
@chief1193 Жыл бұрын
So, Toyota got rid of the Land Cruiser because of low “sales” and the reason was because they were 86k MSRP. Two years later they redo the Sequoia and price it literally the same price, and it’s not half the vehicle the Land Cruiser is🤷🏼♂️. Seems like there is a lot more to it, no matter what you slap on that truck, it will never be a Land Cruiser!

Almost every sequoia bought from KZbinrs are basically all white for everybody for some reason. Haha. Runnin4tacos are the only channel that I follow that don’t have a white one. All the other channels I follow who bought sequoias for their personal vehicle/content for their channel are all white.
