$54K for a TRD Offroad!! Nope.

Is the Raptor worth 57K??

@@FordEnthusiast413 Nope X2, but it’s a twin turbo V6. So, there’s definitely more motor to work with. Can’t do turbo 4banger… especially not at that price.

@@FordEnthusiast413 oh… and the $57K Raptor would match up against the $65K TRD Pro, not the TRD Off Road.

I paid $36K for my 2020 Gen III Tacoma TRD Offroad new. That's a crazy increase in pricing in just 4 years. $5K per year increase to be accurate

@@FordEnthusiast413yes. The suspension work would cost you quite a bit of money and you would lose your warranty. The raptor is completely different truck not a regular ranger with just a few upgrades.

The interior is nice, I'm not liking the center screen, looking like an after thought. Good looking exterior and nice tailgate.

I respect your opinion on the screen but disagree. I like that the screen looks separate. I'm not a fan of the screens that are integrated/look like they are an extension of the driver's instrument screen like the new mustang and BMWs. To me that looks like I'm sitting in an arcade game and I don't want that artificial feeling.

You know what else nobody else is doing in midsize trucks? Charging $10k more than the competition for an inferior truck. Lol

It may be mid-size but it is priced as a full size.

Offroad crawling is great and all but i am on a 2000 mile road trip. All i can say is I absolutely appreciate passing power for everyday driving. Unfortunately many 4 cylinders do not have this ability. Exception is the santa cruz as that little truck can move

I tesr drove one yesterday. I like it but I find it a tiny but claustrophobic in the front. The dashboard seems closer and the center console seems taller. I enjoy that feeling in a sports car, not a pickup truck.

Being on this test course says enough why they are justifying why 50K for this truck 😂

Yep, 98K Tundras just recalled for having metal shaving in their engines causing them to seize.

I've been check in hand ready to buy a TRD OR Premium just waiting on the color I want, but... but, I have been tempted by the ZR2. I just worry about the long term quality and reliability of Chevy where Toyota (has been?) proven. Thoughts?

The ZR2 is a solid truck.. The 310hp in 4 low is a tank but on road much like the Toyota it needs more power

Toyota quality has gone in the crapper. There was just a recall of 98K Tundras for having metal shavings in their engines causing them to self-destruct. Toyota quality isn't what it used to be.
@371kenny
@371kenny 4 ай бұрын
@surfnhood problem with zr2 is auto/stop start and cylinder deactivation. How do you only drive on 2 cylinders? Lmfao. Chevy notoriously have lifter issues because of cylinder deactivation. I hope there's an aftermarket tune to get rid of that nonsense.

As a long-time Toyota truck buyer I have had the basic and 4x4 limited in the past. I believe Toyota has lost focus on the basic simple 500k miles plus simple 4 cylinder 5 speed manual. All that technology won't make it to 250 k miles.

Just clicked to comment. Not gonna reward any taco vids with long view tines. Must be a slow news week of you're doing a review on this hot mess. Toyota definitely giving you less truck for more money. The hype is over and people are disappointed. Ranger is where it's at especially when that 2.7L V6 is released.
