Loving the 'Tartology'. As a fellow tart, I can see a Nova oversized pulley wheel set up appearing on my bike for no other reason than they look cool and different. Besides, it's another nail in the kids inheritance. 👍😅

I had the same issue with a ZTTO cassette I purchased, when I went back to a shimano cassette the shiting issue was resolved.

I’d never get one of these as I have no need. I also wonder, if they make a difference, why Shimano, SRAM etc. haven’t gone in this direction. Saying this, I’d be really interested on your thoughts once you’ve had a chance to use it in anger, especially if it improves shifting or gets in the way due to it being lower to the ground

Fair enough. I’ve not tried it enough to see the difference. I get the impressions it’s more marginal gains. I don’t think it will get in the way being slightly lower…I’ve never had a issue my rear mech catching on stuff I don’t think it’ll be any different with this. My guess for shimano/sram not doing this is because it’s quite niche…not everyone wants/likes/needs it so why offer it at all?

I suspect the shifting issues are due to that budget cassette. It may not have proper ramping on the teeth which are meant to guide the chain up/down the range.
