We were in Yosemite when Fabio made this video. Started talking to him and hiked a bit with him. Wonderful memory.

Yosemite is one of those places that keeps calling you back. My next trip to Yosemite is only 2 months away, and I can't wait!!! Let's talk about the video "Experience Your Yosemite". I have had this movie on my iPod for over a year now, and watch it often. Not only does this vid have great visuals, but it also features one of the best vocal talents of today, the tremendously talented Vannessa Hart. Ken Burns is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. The National Parks are indeed "America's Best Idea"!!!

In Brazil, we have beautiful ecological reserves in the equatorial, tropical and subtropical forests, but nothing that compares to the parks of North America! No Brasil, temos belas reservas ecológicas nas florestas equatoriais, tropicais e subtropicais, mas nada que se compare aos parques da América do Norte!

The Bus system in the valley is fantastic. There's little reason to move your car once you've parked at your hotel or campsite. Plus it's included in the admission price of the park, so there's no additional fees!

There are so many such beautiful places in the USA.. back in India, people have destroyed most of the wilderness and converted it into polluted agricultural/industrial land. A lot of Americans do not appreciate the greatness of this great great great absolutely wonderful country. So beautiful and makes you fall in love immediately.

Saying that the native practices are a portal to the past is a textbook definition of erasure. Native Americans are still here and still practicing.

Typical clueless, heartless interlopers. To be able to hear the stories of the original family and clans that enjoyed living in this Heaven for hundreds if not thousands of seasons is truly profound. The ruthless manner in which they we're evicted and how hard they struggled to keep their homeland intact is sincerely hard breaking. It always made visiting the Indian village center somewhat awkward feeling for me. Yes, this would never stop one from paying homage to God's Real Temple, but still somehow while doing so 2hold some reverence in one heart for the first souls who loved an cared for this masterpiece of God's Creation.

@sparkysports It's pronounced like too-AH-lum-ee. The accent is on the second syllable, and the "n" is silent. (Sources: jrabold DOT net/yosemite/faqs.htm | answers DOT com/topic/tuolumne-river )

@antwonw That's interesting. I backpacked Tuolumne for many years and probably murdered the pronunciation. I pronounced it like she did in the video and I also have to look it up every time I try to spell it- lol. How do you pronounce it? Is it one of these: * too-AH-lum-ee with accent on 2nd syllable and the "n" is silent * Or is it like twall-lum-KNEE ?

I love this video. It covers the park very well. Only thing is...did they send the script off to someone to read it, because the lady mispronounces several places. Tuolumne and Wawona for two. Those two just bugged me since I lived in Wawona and worked in the park for 4 years. Other than that, great movie.

If I may, I would like to ask that one video tour be made of the main market / souvenir shop. It would show the seeds, clothing , art , food and gear that can be bought once there. I have spent weeks at a time on many occasions in many parts of Yosemite . Visitors need to know that they do not have to bring so much. I am David J. Baumgartner , @Bumpyknight on Twitter.

It's is spelled 'it's'. 'You is capitalized at the beginning of a sentence. 'Yosemite' is capitalized because it's a proper noun. There's a period after 'retarded'. Do you have any more useful comments?
