My buddy George took me around his C6 Corvette and we had a good time ripping it around! I haven't experienced a lot of Corvettes so I always like learning more about them.

I drive a Miata and multiple other daily’s that can be considered performance cars. But when I drove my buddies 200k mile LS2 C6 I felt my heartrate increase and my blood pressure increase, the spirit of America ran through my feet and right hand as I shifted through it.

@@reynos8381 hmmm, I mean there's so many in that price range. If you only had to pick one car then I would recommend a hot hatch like a GTI or Focus ST. If you live down south and can get away with RWD year round then maybe a Corvette, BRZ, Miata, or 370z could be good options. I think it all depends what you're looking for!

I’m so sorry I sold my 2009 Z51 to Carvana in May of 2022. I had the hope in 2022 that I would get a ZO6 allocation, but 2 years plus later….. None Yet. Only had 7022 miles on it, but I did get $35,000 for it. It was in pristine condition. Someone got a great C6!. That LS3 was just so great! It seemed to pull and pull and pull! MSRP was around $58,000 in the showroom in April of 2009. I was surprised it remained in the dealership showroom from November 2008 until I bought it for around $52,000 on May 5, 2009. It was my retirement present to myself. That Crystal Red Tintcoat was a great color IMO too! Only problem I had with it was that the automatic transmission would get stuck in Park and there was a KZbin Hack to free it (Although it didn’t work every time.). Finally, the dealership where I got my 2022 C8 Z51 HTC just cut the “safety device” for the Transmission as a permanent fix. I was told that finding a replacement part was no hope of obtaining one. They just aren’t out there! T or F?

Our car choices are so similar. Currently an EN owner, also a 370z fan boy. My next car will be an old c6 corvette. Trying to get a high mileage one for cheap. Throw it on a good set of shocks/coilovers, rebuild the suspension and ride it until the engine and trans go. Then i can build the engine. Wouldn't be a track build, just my garage kept manual v8 car to go on nice drives with my girlfriend. I'll definitely keep the EN as a dual duty daily/track car and the c6 would be my garaged car.

Might be an okay plan. Much less so if the Corvette has MRC. In these cases coil-overs provide dubious benefit. You should wait on your plans until you've driven the Corvette. You might find shooting the parts-canon at a Corvette

@@salvadormonella8953 good point. Not super set in stone with modifying the Corvette. I just assumed the suspension would be worn given the age of these cars. I'm not expecting to get one with MRC, I figured they would be expensive to own. I figured a base model and great coilovers (IE Ohlins road and track are considered a huge improvement over OEM on platforms like the e90 m3) would probably be better than stock. The main point is though, I wouldn't make the mistake of putting these on stiff coilovers and making it some hardcore dedicated track car. I do want to avoid throwing the parts cannon on it. After some consideration, I honestly don't care about making any more power than stock. I'd probably never go for a built engine

@@anthonykeung2956 just the best bang for buck cars at what they do. The c6 fills everything the EN can't do (V8 exhaust, RWD, sexiness), while the EN does what the Corvette can't (do it all sports car, peak fwd, dual duty track/daily). Being Korean (north) American probably makes me a little biased too 😂

Best performance car for the money. Can’t beat a LS3 and a TR6060! (Just saw this was a 07, so LS2 is also nice lol. If you’re looking at a C6 tho I’d highly recommend gunning for a 08-13 as the LS3 is superior)

Because there isn't enough sparkly metal to satisfy the tastes of many modern consumers. Amongst this crowd, no consideration is made of a car's weight, and bigger is considered "better." Some people know cars, and some people don't.

You guys were roommates? This Corvette is "currently" a Base model. I hate to break it to you, Chief, but this car will remain a "Base model" "forever," or at least until it is recycled into a Kia. Not every Corvette is a "Targa." Some are convertibles. I think there might also be some C3 t-top models, but don't quote me on that. The biggest issue is "harmonic balancer?" NOT. It is also NOT the most expensive repair. Not even close. Thanks for the video, but it leaves me feeling like I've learned nothing, and actually lost a couple of IQ points. I'm not slamming your guys. You made a video, and I haven't, so you're better than me at having produced and uploaded "zero" (0) videos. Corvettes are easy? The gear box is easy? Any more disinformation you want to launch into cyber space? You know LLM AI are being "trained" by Internet data, right? Then there are human viewers too. "High 20's" or "30" MPG is "luck?" What "luck?" It's all about the driver, and also not having a bunch of uphills or headwinds. Gears aren't called being "long," they're termed "tall." Look of C7 is "good?" Ick. All those Transformer-style angles? Not my taste. And whoever called you "crazy" for driving the car in the winter sounds like a crazy person to me. I don't get this obsession with garaging the car int he winter time. The car has windshield wipers. It isn't made of sugar. Much of the body won't rust out due to road salt. You've got traction control and all those other computerized nannies. With the exception of how low the car is and possible puddles or road damage due to rain, I figure the Corvette is likely much safer than most cars on the road in wintertime. I'm going to stop commenting now, because I'm going to stop listening to your video. Thanks for the video. I'd grade it a "C." Too much fluff, misinformation, and not enough practical commentary wrapped into a tight video package. Again, you're way ahead of me,, but even you have a bit of room for improvement. You're already superior to 99.8% of the other drivers out there by your Corvette ownership. Why not keep that paradigm going and up your information game? Just a thought, from a guy that has put literally no videos on youtube. Keep the rubber side down. Oh, never mind. I made the mental error of thinking for a split second that aren't driving a Corvette. It's those other American car companies that have 4 & 5 letters in their name. With their sketchy suspensions, those owners have to be careful to keep the rubber side down. You'd have to be awfully ambitious, or incredibly unlucky, to flip a Corvette. In my experience, the C6 just HATES rolling over, and is more than happy to let you spectate at the other powerful cars that seem to love showing their bellies to the sky. Cheers.
