Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. I'm impressed that it went so well.

I'm not a chemical engineer but I would think the fats and sugars in the milk would burn to the bottom of the portion of the percolator and what is left would evaporate and become coffee - I would think because the tasty parts are left behind this would be pretty awful. Thank you for testing.

This channel is slowly overtaking other coffee channels as my top watch. ❤ I recently tested whether e.s.e pods can be used with a Bialetti (2 cups) and sadly, no. The Moka Pot does not punch flavour out of e.s.e pods. But if you ever find a way to use the coffee powder in the e.s.e pods SIMPLY, I would appreciate it.
@lucasbackdahl5874

Can't you just open the pods up and use the ground coffee inside? Although you might need a couple of paper filters if you're using a moka pot

That's so kind of you, thank you for the encouragement! You could rip open the ESE pods and put the grounds in there - a bit fiddly though I'm sure.

Please don’t do that, anybody. High temp will denature milk (bad taste) and create a film on the liquid surface that could clog the filter and the safety valve. If you like caffellatte, add the milk later.

Good advice! I also don't recommend doing this. Taste was not good, and probably something will get clogged.

James Hoffmann should definitely see this, that's something for his series of weird coffee science... Maybe you should send it to him? The traditional Bialetti has a quite porous and uneven surface in the bottom part, I 100% expected a difficult cleanup. Some other version made of stainless steel might be better suited for these kinds of shenanigans, you could also toss it in the dishwasher afterwards.

@Giuliana-w1f
@Giuliana-w1f 27 күн бұрын
could you try with powdered milk on top of the coffee? also, could you try a 3.5Bar "steam espresso" machine? they're sold as "espresso", but are basically just fancy electric Moka pots with a portafilter and a steam wand; i think they could be nice if used correctly (preheated), and maybe modified with a dimer (to limit the ~800W) or even just a diode (half power)

Interesting, thanks for trying. I would have loved a direct comparison with the same amount of coffee clasically brewed and milk added afterwards. Then, the color texture and taste could even be more compared

My thoughts on this experiment are that any moka pot that comes with a piece of paper will have the words "Fill the reservoir ONLY with water", because if you use milk which the safety valve isn't designed for, you're making a bomb

I did it with cold brew, pour over too. It is too expensive to for a slightly sweeter creamy taste. You are using lavazzi pre-ground, it will taste bad, bitter and sour.

Which supermarket brand do you recommend in Germany. I've seen you mention that lavazza has that 2 years since roast date thing, does that work for any other brand or just lavazza?

I just found a video with pretty much the exact same grinder just little diffenrt top collar I searched on KZbin MÁY XAY CÀ PHÊ TỰ ĐỘNG G9A, it shows all grinder sizes in action if you wanna see it. If I can help you let me know. I’m super excited about this is totally a bargain, it will go up in price once it becomes famous like df64.
