Sadly there was areas in USA were people in the beginning of those nuke tests who died in different radioactive diseases. In 2010, a report by the Los Alamos Historical Document and Retrieval Assessment Project concluded that radiation in some areas in New Mexico after the Trinity test was 10,000 times higher than what was considered safe exposure levels. The Center for Disease Control and the Los Alamos National Laboratory found that New Mexicans were never warned about the Trinity test nor provided safety or dietary precautions after the blast. Scientists had offered credible warnings regarding the dangers of radioactive fallout from the atomic bomb since 1940; nevertheless, a public safety team was not established until a month before the Trinity test. Downwinders estimate that families lived as close as 12 miles to the test site, with thousands more residing in a 50 mile radius. Alvin Weinberg, director of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory during the Trinity test, recalled in his memoir that, outside of national security, “all else, including safety, was secondary.

You do know that covid-19 during the late 1970's was known as Gorki-400 in the USSR. In 2008 when the old guard of the USSR sold it to China who renamed it Wuhan-400. To represent the city that had the lab that held the pathogen..ie similar to Gorki, Russia hint hint...after their specimen reached adolescent age it was released so that it could bite a local native..who then would become the original vector of covid-19 once the specimen was put down by the local police. Who had the public of Wuhan believe that the threat had been contained..it was further from the truth..if you people don't remember Italy closed its borders to any kind of tourism, or arrivals of any kind including emergencies regardless if they were boats, aircraft, or automobiles..unfortunately the world depopulators only killed several million not the 2.9 billion they were hoping for. As they hid behind the bs notion that China weaponized the flu, ie deadly walking pneumonia..how did Bill gates put it during a Ted show. We are 7.9 billion strong on this planet whereas the world governments only have the ability to control and provide for 5 billion. All I can say is the percentage of people who rule the world are full of shit..and so is Elon musk the so called richest man in the world..if he really gave a shit he would be helping more people while still staying rich as can be..but he is just a good act, distraction while the world does as it always has conducted its affairs behind closed doors not concerned about the common man or his future period..

good theories although we already have Volcanoes which as far as we can tell don't cool the earths core. The didn't even hit the mantle, and the biggest hole was narrow enough to be structuraly sound baring an earthqauke.

My thought on that would be splitting the earth!
@eustacehendrix96592 жыл бұрын
Unlike a volcano that burns everything that near it, manually digging a hole in the mantle can have very different results. You might find an oil deposit or natural gas deposit both of which you can accidentally ignite with the drill. Given that the area has no volcano around to naturally burn things, if they encounter a gas deposit, there will likely be a few other spots near it and igniting one may create a chain reaction that will create an earthquake and you imagine the rest. Anyway, chances are low but never zero. Or the hole itself can collapse and create an underground landslide that will have similar results as the explosion.

Ever since I visited Yellowstone park as a child I've felt both fascination, awe, and amazement at the location, paired with existential terror with the realization that if one person with nuclear capabilities and enough resources, just one, happens to be absolutely insane, and I mean truly violently insane, not just a tyrannical dictator or even more disturbing, much worse than a genocidal maniac. Just one, could end the entire planet with a single nuke, shoot, a single bomb of enough strength. Thankfully the people with these capabilities are few in comparison. But all it takes is one that decides earth failed, to force that on every other person. Edit: And it's actually kind of reassuring that those kinds of people are far and few, at least ones capable of achieving power. Because I mean, as bad as the world has seen, it's almost always been a selfish, fanatically religious, or tyrannical obsession that led to the atrocities, and/or those same things being a core motivator to seeking such power. Despite all the terrible people to have led and ruled, nothing would be worse for people as a whole than if a sociopathic nihilist were to come to power. As literally, all it would take is a whim for them to end the world in so many different ways, Yellowstone just being, and scarily so in my opinion, one of the easier ways to do it. But at the very least the yellowstone method wouldn't be the end of the world, just very likely the majority if not all of humanity. Earth has endured countless volcanic eruptions and developments, it'd at the least, be our end, not Earth's end. As opposed to.. well, other methods

Wouldn't it be interesting if science itself was the great filter? Like with the machine that could make miniature black holes. What if every black hole in the universe is the corpse of a once inhabited planet with intelligent life that started tampering with colliders and before they knew it... they created a black hole that ate their planet. We think we haven't found aliens, and we've been looking at their graves this whole time.

Funny thing: the religious people who opposed the Superdeep Borehole projects feared nearly the exact same fate that _did_ befall the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm. Under the leadership of Durin VI in the year 1980 of the Third Age, they, in their hubris, delved too deep and unleashed a Balrog (a winged, horned, fire-breathing demonic humanoid Maia servant of Melkor/Morgoth, Vala of Chaos) which was appropriately dubbed Durin’s Bane after the tragedy. The Balrog was eventually slain in TA 3019 by Gandalf the Grey.
