Just curious, maybe I missed it being talked about, but why didn't you pour the basement floor, before adding the main floor system? Also, why not do the below grade waterproofing, drainage, and gravel fill, for the ease of workers being able to walk directly onto the main level. Thanks, and can't wait to see the progression!
@BealyGood3 ай бұрын
The basement pour (and main floor pour) are being done later as there is a lot of work that has to be done before that. I’ll go into more detail in a future video. As for the waterproofing and backfill. Timing and scheduling. Pretty much every step of the build involves a partnership and part of that is often trying to have representatives from the manufacturer onsite to show how the product(s) work and also sometimes have others out for training. To make the schedules line up for all involved almost always moves the order of things around a bit.
@DavidandBeckyMillat3 ай бұрын
@@BealyGood great! Thank you
@raymondheckard2343 ай бұрын
So Geoff you are going to stack the main floor before you pour the lid to the basement? Or is it going to be where the lid and the main floor walls are going to be poured like the floor of the pool? I figured you would pout the lid using a single course of single side block so you could have a solid floor to anchor the plum wall bracing to, the steel floor pan would be hard to anchor too, but a 4 inch pour would allow tapcons to be used. Building is coming along nicely.
@BealyGood3 ай бұрын
Not sure yet. I was going to pour the walls first but we’ll see.

Looks like some of the metal pans run overn on to the ICFs. Which seems like a problem for stacking the second story. Are those going to get trimmed?
