That's a much better way than I had to do it years ago. We had to heat up the waterproof. Then pump it to the location and aim at the concrete. While right behind you. Several people were taking a paint roller and spreading it before it hardened back up. Love your new technologies. From watching your progress I'm thinking you're using a water-based sealent. In the past, it was a hard tar that was used. Today's technologies are much better on the body and environment. Great video, Jeff, and thanks for sharing the information and experience with us all.

Handy little tip to keep that sprayer always ready to spray between lengthy spray periods, the major key is to overly clean after use, should 'go without saying' but to make sure it ALWAYS starts when needed, at the end of the day, leave it running and shut off the gas so it can empty the fuel bowl to shut it off. It'll start every time, been doing that with my 25-year old power-washer since new, three pulls fires right up. when needed again, add fresh gas in the tank which adds fresh fuel to the carb, 😉👌🏻it's guaranteed to start every time, no matter how long it sat.

@frankharley37314 ай бұрын
@@ronaldheit196 Small gas engines like this are notorious for not starting after sitting for an extended period of time if old gas is left in the carburetor. The last day on the job right before prolonged storage, allowing it to run for a few moments with the gas feed switched off instead of shutting down using the kill switch (I always use the gas shut method) uses up all of the little bit of fuel in the tiny bowl. They'll start every time!

I like the idea of a spray on membrane but I think its really important to avoid missed coverage and bridging, I would like to see troweled sealant into all the open joints (no visible gaps), swept and cleaned off footings and a sealed wall to footing joint with a full concave trowelled fillet before spraying out to the footing edge, and perhaps use a masking board to get the top sprayed edge sharp and tidy. I have chemical grout sealed commercial buildings that had tanking leaks between the tidy slabs and floor slabs and from experience know that water will find any weakness in the waterproofing system sooner or later so it is imperative to think like you are creating a boat not a box, otherwise it sinks.

Grounding the barrel: More detail please. Is it a static charge build up from where? Thinking you could run it to a temporary ground rod , maybe a wire to the the pond. Grounds and Neutrals are commonly not done correctly nor understood from my experience as OEM equipment designer. Maybe there is a wiring sketch schematic in the sprayer manual. A reference to pdf manual might answer my question.

DANG! Wish this was around when I was doing PM work! My earth mover wouldn't do it. My concrete guy wouldn't do it. My framers wouldn't do it. Needed to get done. I could do it myself way faster than I could hire someone, so time to dive in. Mason brushes, rollers, duct taping sticks to things for extensions, yeah that's me. Then bedding 6 mil poly into the wet goo- that was fun. Concocted a plan to nail the poly to the top of wall (TOW) through some furring strips, so I could just pull the poly into the wet foundation coating while it was as wet as possible. One day the boss, (owner of the company) came by and asked how I was going to get the poly bedded. After I told him, he said he didn't understand, but was going to run home real quick, change his clothes and join me to get-er-done! (Bottom of the hill about 1-1/2 miles to his house). By the time he got back, I was bedding the last 15-20 feet of poly onto the wall. He couldn't believe I got that done so well, and smooth too! Little deeds like that turn into massive R E S P E C T rather quickly, and add up over time. Sorry I got a little off-track there, but anyway, sure would've been nice to shoot the waterproofer on back in my day. (Can't believe I just said 'back in my day').
