Hello! I am currently a freshman in college studying engineering but I also want to be a pilot . Do you think it is a good idea to start my training now while I’m in college or after I get my degree ?

Start your training now so by the time you leave college you can start at a regional airline

can you get in a program with a history of antidepressant use?

That depends on your ability to obtain a medical. I would recommend you consult with an aviation medical examiner or an aviation medical consulting firm such as www.aviationmedicine.com/. Also I would review the FAA website: www.faa.gov/pilot-mental-fitness

The type of degree does not matter when you are looking towards a piloting job. Any Bachelors degree will help you be more competitive when applying for a job.

@@AviationCareersPodcastbut aren’t there degrees that higher your chances of getting a job ? And also what degree is better as a “fallback plan”
