After you have served yourself with some sugar, place the lip back on the sugar container. Use your spoon to stir the coffee an then place the teaspoon on the saucer.

I am so glad I found this channel, it really deserves more views. I own a coffee pot I bought in an antique store for so little and indeed, why wait for some special day or special people while the pot sits there dusting. Why not making each day special with as ordinary as coffee?

"Scalding the pot" so something we do in Ireland. I also like to pop some hot water into my cups before I pour my tea/coffee......it simply warms the cup. Having asked for a cappuccino a few times on my holidays, my cappuccino was poured into a cold cup. So by the time it was served to me, it was tepid. I don't like scalding tea/coffee. But tea/coffee is much nicer served in a warm cup.

Your videos have all been very helpful. I want to do,or say something and I remember Gloria Starr (etiquette and manners). I love the part where you said "I'm special too." P.S. I'm left-handed,and it would mean a great deal if there were a video of dining etiquette for left-handed people.

There is something captivating about her, and aside from obviously being so classy and well mannered, I think it’s her voice. It’s interesting, not monotonous, and she pronounces every word very clearly. This has me wondering if I even speak well, I tend to talk fast and maybe don’t pronounce like I should.... Please excuse me while I go work on my voice, lol!

Oh my god!! I was shocked that you had talking about Arabic coffee! Its amazing. And I have to make some points clear. when we want more coffee we just have to give our cup as the way it is. And when we do not want more we shake the cup. Also a little detail i want to talk about. In Arabic culture we hold the cup with the right hand, and the coffee pot with the left hand. Its because when we serve someone we should give them the little coffee cup with the right hand out of generosity for the guests. I’m apologizing if this was mean for you .

We use a thicker mug in Australia and the thinner mugs for tea generally. We usually use a plunger to serve instead of a pot or go to a cafe instead for barista coffee (our favourite obsession). I know Americans more often have brewed coffee when they go out though, which is difficult to grasp as an Australian haha.

What a wonderful video. Does anyone know what the proper thing to do with the empty sugar packets is? I often throw them in my purse or put them in my pocket to avoid trash cluttering up the table. - Also can anyone answer how you would deal with your beverage being too hot for you to drink comfortably but not the people around you. I have a very sensitive mouth so in a formal situation everyone else at the table would be drinking the coffee but i'd be waiting. I'm assuming blowing on it isn't advised. Perhaps it isn't a bad thing to wait. Ms Starr said she often doesn't drink the coffee so I suppose it must not be considered rude to not partake if you aren't the focus as a guest.
@ExpertGloriaStarr9 жыл бұрын
+Pale0Enchantress You can set the empty sugar packet on your saucer. If your beverage is too hot, just wait until it cools. Do not blow on beverages or food to cool them down.
