And Detroit's problems had nothing to do with whether Democrats or Republicans were running it--that's a just stupid myth propagated by right-wingers---the city has always had problems no matter who the hell was running it. It's mainly been racism that has always held Detroit back---that's what caused the riots

I’m white, born and raised in Detroit! The Westside! Not all neighborhoods are bad, the white surburban kids never accepted me as equal because I lived in the city of Detroit, my parents weren’t drug addicts either, my parents raised 6 kids, we had a large house with a yard fenced in that was paid off, people in my moms church wouldn’t visit us because they didn’t what they saw in my neighborhood.
