I think the newbie strats are used to interest people in the run. If he wanted to, he could do all of that stuff alongside stopping rambling and possibly get a sub-12 run in that case (if he also spoke as fast as Eminem raps), but that’d probably dissuade too many people from taking any interest in the matter. The idea is that you don't have to rely on the infrastructure and technology of modern political systems. You can't be homeless, starving, or stressed about your pointless office job if you abandon that system all together. Of course there would be some issues on a larger scale if there was no agriculture, and things like healthcare may be a problem if you don't want to die early. But on an individual scale it's quite appealing to some, and I can see some more moderate implementations of this belief being helpful on a larger scale. For example, guerilla gardening is a way to take back resources and allow the community to subsist without buying food at the grocery store.

A better model for standard politics only takes a few questions 1. The in group of the movement 2. The out group of the movement 3. The placement of the believer (ingoup, outgroup, or observer) The ingroup/outgroup can be of any subject matter. Politics runs on abstraction. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for every subject matter you find relevant. These are your base ideologies. 5. Combine the ideologies by weight of ((placement/ingroup + placement/outgroup) - placement/observer) by the count of each. This gives you a numerical score for the level of activist sophistication of your worldview. 6. Combine structures and remove redundancy, by naming positions, in/out groups relevant to the material. 7. Make notes of why you believe what you do for anecdote And then you have a manifesto of standard political caliber with a measure of self sophistication and personal relevance.
