In this video we're going to be explaining Kurapika's Hatsu, otherwise known as his nen abilities.
We're going to be going over everything from his different chains and their abilities, emperor time, and any additional information about his nen ability.

@@alias4795 Chrollo literally has a book that allows him to use and control literally dozens of nen abilities, just one at a time (in terms of what was covered in the anime, the manga gives him a tool to do some more with his book but I wont fully spoil it). Its not too much for Kurapika to have five more abilities with his left hand lol.

Even meruem had a limitation: Stupidity. The sucker never bothered training and developing hatsus on his own. A specialist like him could have conjured an armor capable of surviving the explosion and poison.

mredizon00 the main example of Meruem's intelligence is how he found the incredibly small openings Netero made with his Buddha thing (I forgot what it was called) I remember it was described something like looking for a particular needle out of thousands of needles (or something to that effect).

Tiberiuas Reneli yup I recall the same way. One of the reasons why this is arguably the most interesting action anime for me. It's not about just brute speed and strength. You feel the tension in every fight and makes it unpredictable. Unlike the dumb DBS writers who messed everything up really Mureem & Netero's have more strength and speed than any of the DBS fight Jiren vs UI Goku included.

Of the main 4 he might be the strongest, but only because he has put crazy restrictions and consequences on his powers. I'm not saying that Kurapika is not a gifted nen user without them, but Gob and Killua are monsters of talent that could reach a similar if not greater level of power if given time to hone thier abilities without the consequences. Leorio is kinda a weird case because he isn't as talented as the two kids but the series likes to really downplay him. That said talent isn't everything and those two would not live to reach their talents potential... if they joined the phantom troupe. Nen is also great because there are lots of factors that can affect the power level of characters and many diffrent ways to manifest and develop that power.

interesting theory. but i doubt it. Nen is in itself doesn’t follow logic of the universe but the user. mostly comes from their emotions and mental state. in the manga where Chrollo uses the nen ability “Order Stamp” which is an ability that can make inanimate objects into living puppets that follows vocal commands from the user when you put a stamp onto them, he can’t use it on dead bodies due to the original user thinking that dead bodies didn’t considered it to be as one. I think the same logic applies to Kurapika’s Chain Jail aswell since Kurapika now knows the faces of the Phantom Troupe, so as long as Kurapika consider them as member of the Phantom Troupe, no matter the circumstances they will still be considered as such.

This is an interesting question. My guess is that Kurapika would then gain access to every ability Chrollo could use at that moment, but he could only use them once (and only one, with the bookmark two). Combining this with Stealth Dolphin would be amazing for Kurapika though because he would potentially learn all about Chrollo's every ability (assuming he couldn't just read it all from the book).

I suppose that's technically possible. However, considering that he has to maintain Emperor Time while using the dolphin, using it without an specific - very specific - plan would end in disaster. Not to mention the strain Emperor Time causes in his body. Chrollo's conditions for his ability are difficult enough to fulfill, he would have to little time to adjust or think what to do with it.

Dheyl Melicio He definitely steals them. Let's just assume that he has a another specialist hatsu that let's him give his powers back. I doubt hes borrowing the abilities. There was no indication of him needing to give the powers back. The interaction between him and Shalnark was just so Shalnark could get his powers back. Also the stealing ability really fits because the phantom troupe stealing shit and all.

Kurapika has not received training from Biscuit (on top of learning Nen Unlike Gon and Killua) and admitted something like a 9MM bullet would hurt him, even with Gyo. Gon and Killua now have parameters such as raw speed and power that surpass Kurapika normally. Emperor Time makes maxes his Nen category stats, for a conjoror. He will never become on par with a master enhancer, but he will be able to output just as much as a lv 6 enhancer due to his 60% affinity in it (an example of how Emperor Time works). Gon, assuming he is at least above 6, can always output more enhancement aura than Kurapika. This is why Uvo at 20% of his power could not hurt Kurapika’s 60% enhancement but Uvo at 100%, he was able to break Kurapika’s arm easily. Kurapika is only at his strongest and can output the most aura when fighting a Troupe member. His best move is piercing someon with judgement chain assuming he can both catch them and pierce their aura defense. Excluding abilities, many of these humans on the boat do not have parameters on par with the hunters, ants and such we have seen in the chimera ant arc. This excludes the other possible hunters or top tiers on the boat like the Zodiacs. Biscuits training makes a huge difference in increasing one’s power.

Kurabica is a fast learner, smart and willing to sacrifice everything to get what he wants thats why he is unstoppable his weakness is caring about others too much just like in his job with 14th prince also one other thing that he likes to do everything on his own without help from others He could easily finds people who hate spiders and make some kind of organization from multiple people trained by him with special powers just to take down the spiders then his revenge will sure be settled but it is not one of his character to put some pressure on others

You missed a detail on Steal Chain. Not only can it be applied to someone that doesn't know Nen... it can do that because it awakens the capacity of Nen completely within the person that it's granted to if they haven't already done so.

i would only add that if he used the steal chain on someone else than himself to give the stolen ability to he cannot undo emperor time until this certain person has used that stolen ability. also if kurapika fades out after having used emperor time too long and his steal chain is still lending a ability to someone else that person will also be unconscious for the same amount of time as kurapika. but pretty good vid. i liked that you added manga stuff

its a credit card of nen aura level, as you attack enemy w nen the number falls but when enemy nen attacks hit or timr pases and interest accrues it rises, and once it hits the 'credit limit', your aura will be sealed(youre bankrupt) interesting that youpi had too high of an aura as the only other target for that attack so far.
