The clown doesn't have a bad roll. It chooses the best number for the situation Kite is in regardless of what Kite has in mind or what he wants. Kite always has the best roll for the situation even if he is oblivious or not. e. g. Scythe was picked since he was surrounded with a lot of enemies. The fight with Pitou, it chose the wand to activate the resurrection skill as it deemed that Kite will not come out of it alive. He just says "bad spin" as he has other things in mind. BUT the clown will always.. ALWAYS choose the best weapon for the situation. Additional : When he was surrounded with ants, he was thinking of killing the captain immediately. The clown gave him a weapon that can kill ALL at once.

I think what he was getting at was that they were rather situational. Guns aren't very useful against other Nen users and the scythe would be most effective when he's fighting alone and not in a populated area since it runs the risk of hurting his allies or innocent bystanders.

good point, but i just said it as a joke, and i also dont think the rolls are 100% chance and luck based, i think the clown does a little something, and the gun he was using used nen bullets, so it is effective against certain nen users and such. and about the scythe, he did tell gon and killua to duck down and if there were a possibility of innocent ppl around him then hes not stupid enough to use it in a manner that would kill or harm them like he did in the forest

There is a strong possibility that one of the Lucky Slot Weapons has already been shown. Early in the series we see Kite wielding a katana of some kind. Obviously this could just be a normal weapon he has, but since we don't see him carrying it around once he comes back into the story during the Chimera Ant Arc, I think it is far more likely that this katana is actually one of his Lucky Slot weapons, and the reason we never saw it again was simply because he didn't roll the corresponding number.

i made 3 weapons shield,spear,and hammer the shield has the ability to reflect nen attacks and its breaking point can block any nen ability no matter how strong but he cant roll the sheild for a week after the breaking point and he must never get destracted from the oppenent, the spear can overpower anything it comes in contact with, the hammer can ony be used using the earth rumble technique which is to bash the ground and cause i mini earth quake

I just watched the episode where Kite used his power in front of Gon and killua against the horse snake chimera ant. Kite admitted that Gon and Killua had simplier power to use than his. To which they wondered “why did you make it like that?!” I have a theory as to why that is. First thing that sticks out is that he is a “Conjurer”!! Who else do we know isn’t a conjurer? Kurapika! Since conjurers can only conjure something as strong as the real thing. Conjurers are at disadvantage. Unless!! They put restrictions on themselves. Since Kite could conjure weapons like a gun. Bullets might not do enough damage againts Nen users. So I assume the first restriction he put was that he would have to give up consciously choosing what weapon he wanted. To gain more power he has to conjure weapons at random possibly giving him a weapon not best suited for his situation. Second possible restriction is that the clown has to speak what it does. That is choosing a weapon at random depending on the roll. Similar to how the bombers have to explain their power in order for it to turn on

Crazy Slots seems to be an example of a more benign methodology of Nen contracts or oaths. Compare Pika's very rigid but powerful abilities he can only tap into if he's attacking a hand full of specific people. Kite seemed to base his on a more interesting concept. Luck. Simply by adding the element of luck even what is supposedly his worst rolls are ridiculously powerful. Especially when we consider the limitation of Conjuration. A normal conjurer would have a hard time making a Scythe that has an ability like Silent Waltz which is like another Nen Ability itself. Or a gun with complex parts and the ammunition to go with it. Or more so a talking clown slot that seems to be sentient. Because of the rules of how Nen works I'm facinated by crazy slots. Death could trigger the 3 ability but Slots seems to be really stingy with giving up higher numbers which are supposedly more powerful objects with way more powerful abilities. I can't imagine what an 8 or 9 would be for this power.

i think the tecnique "the hell i wont die" probably does not depend on the roll number. it detatched his counsciousness (memories etc) from his body after death, and fused in the closest newborn life form in the area, rewriting its dna or something alike, so that he could come back to existence again. he literaly merged with the girl, if i remember well in the conversation with the koala kaito seems to have both his memories and the girl's memories. he's visibly different from the old kaito. am i wrong ?

12:00 I reckon that kites ability is dome under a contract with conditions like kurapika, but instead of the punishment being death, its that he can’t change it out or choose what weapon he wants. So each weapon is actually really strong even if it’s wrong for the situation. I would agree with your theory nut add in the fact that if Kite had not added his soul to the chimera ant body then she might have died from having no soul. Aura is life energy and it is possible the ant body had none until Kite added his to the body. I would like for Feitan's nen to be explained.

I think this whole theory is pretty bullshit. Pitou lost all interest in Kite when she realised Doctor Blythe couldn't resurrect him, and his organs were unnecessary to turn him into a training dummy for the ants. Why would she not feed the unnecessary parts of the strongest human the ants had ever faced up until this part to the queen when the whole reason the queen had requested "special" humans in the first place was because she considered them the perfect food to create a powerful king? It makes perfect sense for Pitou to want to feed parts of Kite to the queen in order to make the king as strong as possible whilst keeping her strongest opponent ever as a training partner for weaker ants.

actually if u read the manga by words, kite always saying that their duty for being hunters was getting their prey- i have always believe that he tried to "infect" the king fetus and kill it with his soul/nen and he was the reason for meruem to be born prematurely, or maybe he tried to kill the queen (he succeded) and took whoever body was there to reencarnate (sorry for my shitty english)

I do think he was partially eaten, but I also believe him being eaten or not has nothing to do with him reincarnating, and that he'd reincarnate regardless.

I was thinking in similar lines back when I first saw this. If you remember, Pitou told the king that the brain's the tastiest part of humans, so I figured it'd have made sense for them to feed at least Kite's brain to the queen (the puppet hardly had any need for it). Also, if even the ordinary people eaten by the queen could regain their memories, how could someone like Kite not have his... So overall, he wouldn't necessarily have needed any kind of a reincarnation ability.

It was stated that Kite reincarnating as Meruem's sister is due to one of his Crazy Slots abilities allowing him to reincarnate. Parts of his body being hypothetically eaten by the Queen had nothing to do with it, his own ability was responsible for his soul being put in a new Chimera Ant. This much is not theory.

Also my theory on Kite's reincarnation is similar (basically the same as your #2) its just that I believe the baby was dead. You saw how small/premature she was & remember nobody knew she was there until she started crying, seemingly out of nowhere. I think he can transfer himself into a recently deceased corps (there are probably more limitations). I didn't know HOW though so THANKS Spooky for showing that manga panel about his ability "how can I die like this?"

I’m pretty sure that the clown has some control over his abilities choices, and the limitation would be to make the clown be disagreeable, but he uses reverse phycology on the clown to make it give him the best weapon for the situation, by always criticizing the weapon. Do you think it was random that when he died he just so happened to get the perfect weapon for the occasion. Or how he said that the scythe wasn’t a good weapon for the situation even though it was perfect in letting him destroy the huge mass of enemies. Edit: sorry I didn’t check the comments first. I think I have a good synthesis of Kite's Hatsu, the Crazy Slot, based on the Manga/Anime and theories so far: Being a conjurer-type, Kite's Crazy Slot, enables him to conjure from an arsenal of weapons with strong abilities (assumingly 9 weapons). So far, only 3 weapons were revealed from the Crazy Slot ability No. 2 - Scythe (wide-range area offensive, which has a strong devastating attack wiping out surrounding enemies) No. 3 - Mace (close-combat offensive, which could have have an ability as surmised in this video to transfer his soul, or in another theory extract-suspend-inject his soul like in an astral projection and possession, which makes him really 'hating to die' as Ging remarked about one of Kite's ability. Look at the no. 3* in my synthesis) No. 4 - Rifle (Range, target-focused offensive, which could automatically fire and has minimal-noise/quiet firing sound) As mentioned in this video, Kite's hatsu has a placed restriction on it in exchange of this strong weapons, that is the "randomness". As we know, upon activation of his hatsu, a conjured clown would appear and will roll for him a "random" number (from 1-9, each of which represents a weapon) that the clown will transform to for his using. My synthesis then are, 1.) Kite's conjuring-type hatsu (Crazy Slots) do not conjure weapons, but he conjures a "Slot Machine" which provides Kite a random weapon. Its not designed like Kite has developed conjuring-type ability to summon various weapons (ie. Scythe, Mace, Rifle, etc) and has placed a randomness factor as restriction on it to be able to activate the hatsu, but its the other way around. It is the crazy clown-looking slot machine that Kite conjures with his ability, and this slot-machine procures (by transforming) for him the weapon from among various kinds (assumingly 9 weapons) in a random fashion as a restriction. This concept is very crucial to my next synthesis on no. 2 below. 2.) Its already established that the "randomness" is the restriction placed in exchange of this strong hatsu of Kite, but I think there's more than that. Kite's nen ability, being a top-tier class and was being trained under the tutelage of Ging, could probably already enabled him to workaround this restriction, more so to even make use of it--that is by placing another restriction on top of it such that he could only be able to active his hatsu (conditional activation) only if there is a known danger (like an encounter with an enemy or hostile species in his surroundings) or Kite himself is in harm or danger (like injury or engagement in combat). Just look back at all the instances in manga/anime when Kite activates Crazy Slot. This second restriction place Kite's in further handicaps: First is that the conditional activation of this hatsu places him already in combat disadvantage since he must be initially reliant on his raw abilities and nen-abilities, except for his Hatsu, to defend himself thus leaving him open to empowering attacks which requires a hatsu activation to defend from (ie. Pitou's dash attack from afar). Second is that Kite himself won't be able to make use of his hatsu for an initial or ambush attack. This additional restriction (conditional activation) is embedded with Kite's personality since he only attacks or kill if there is harm or danger, and won't be the one to initiate hostility. So, the big question is, what do he gained from placing a second restriction? I think the advantage he traded this for is for him to bypass the "randomness" factor on which the conjured "Crazy Clown" is sentient (ie. thinking and talking clown) and will do Kite a favor by providing him the 'best weapon' for the dangerous situation. That's why the clown talks and mocks Kite whenever Kite summons it and it even says "I don't have bad rolls". With these, Kite could basically use the most fitting weapon for the combat scenario. Just look at all Kite's fights in which he used the crazy slot, and tell me if there is any hint of variable-ness or randomness in those fights that Kite even find a hard time what to do with the "rolled" weapon. I think Kite's common remark of "Damn, another bad roll" is just a clever expression to put any observer/enemy off-guard by giving an impression that this weapon is just "random". 3.) It could be inferred from what is so far shown in the manga or anime that Kite probably is prohibited (could be another restriction) to switch the weapon during fight since all completely shown fights of Kite (thus excluding Kite-vs-Pitou fight) have shown Kite to activate the crazy-slot and using the provided weapon to defeat the enemies in the process thus no need for any complex combat adjustments (like deactivating a hatsu or using some advanced techniques like "In"). However, not showing what happened on Kite-vs-Pitou fight opens up a possibility that Kite could really switch for another weapon or "roll" the crazy slot again (probably by deactivating the hatsu then reactivating it again as shown in Shizuku's vacuum cleaner or by Kurapika's chains), since his innate ability as a hunter could enable him to do that. This also complements the "conditional activation" discussed in no. 2 above as new conditions or scenarios could arise during the battled which would provide Kite another opportunity to "roll" for another weapon. So its possible that the it is not the Mace weapon of Kite that give him the "soul-transfer", "resurrection" or "cannot die" ability or its even possible that Kite has other nen-abilities than the Crazy Slot, since Ging doesn't specify which nen-ability of Kite pertains to such ability. It's a good open concept, as I believe being a student of one of the most OP characters of HxH world really gives you character design advantages. Its possible that we will see Kite again in this Dark Continent arc or the next arcs. Just my 2 cents in Kite's ability.

You're wrong about two things, Knuckles and Shoot damaged kite. It's proven during the anime where they talk about them damaging him and it started zooming in on his scars and body. Then in my opinion i think you're wrong about his reincarnation ability. I think it's based off Yu Yu Hakusho, like a lot of the characters, including him are. When Kurama's demon form died he went into the body of a nearby pregnant woman. I think that when kite dies using his crazy slots #3 he does the same. The nen ability activates and sends his consciousness through a in infused nen to the queen who was pregnant. The ability sends himself after death into the womb of a pregnant woman which isnt too far off from yours but it draws more connection with yu yu hakusho which makes much more sense. Thats my theory. Mainly emphasized by kite having no antly feature to him.
