The movie felt like the DC TV shows on WB (Arrowverse). I was not a fan of those, but I know alot of people are. I took three inner city kids to Madam Web, ages 14, 14, 11. After the movie, I asked them to grade it. They gave it B, F, A. Me, I'd give it a D+.

100% agree with all points. This movie is amazing. Amazing in how many terrible choices were made, amazing in that there were actual expectations based on this movie's success, amazing that Sony didn't follow the current trend of shelving this thing altogether and just write it off. By the way, I want to see the rest of this trilogy made by exactly the same people because I need to know ALL the ways my problems can be solved by driving a car into them.

It breaks the 180-degree rule, which is a basic film making rule of thumb where you shouldn't cut from a frame where character A is on the left and B is on the right to one where the opposite is true, because that is confusing. In this case, we see the character running up to the car, then the flip makes it seem that she is also the person inside the car. Of course you can tell that's not the case, but your brain is confused for a moment and has to work harder to parse out what's going on, which makes for a less enjoyable viewing.
