The John Wick series has given a serious boost to both the career of Keanu Reeves and the action movie genre as a whole, and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum proved to be yet another exciting installment.
The film didn’t tie up all of its loose threads at the end, but director Chad Stahelski has said that this was less of a cliffhanger and more of a suggestion that a character who has killed this much will never fully escape that life unless he dies. The best thing about 3 is that you could legit feel the atmosphere of an entire city ready to kill you from the very start,blending in with the amazing soundtrack it actually feels slightly creepy. Even the main character runs from danger,pretty rare in movies. You don’t experience that in 1 and 2,so this movie did actually bring something unique

shivam vishwakarma I see what you mean. The castle concert scene alone is one of the most unforgettable scenes in a movie for me. But imo John Wick 3 brought some innovative scenes too. The horse stable scene? The gang on motorcycles with swords? The final shootouts at the continetal with blackouts,grenades and various weapons? I’d say 3 had some sick action too

Winston didn't really betray John because: 1.) He couldve just shot him in the head 2.) He didn't faze at John being alive especially since he knows of John's caapbilities. 3.) Bowery King's "fighting under the table" line which is where Winston's position is. 4.) The well played line but could work for either ways. There is really no reason for Winston to betray John anyways since he always risked his ass to help John since JW1 and he always knows not to fuck with John.

@@Excalibur-je5pk youre saying it's a mess because of time travel. But there are alternate realities that the sorceror supreme talks about so it's not completely messed up as you'd say. It isn't this mind numbing thing that you have to really think about because then that would be a problem, and if they tried to explain it in detail, it probably wouldn't make sense, but the Russos made it work with movie. It'll probably be explained further on, but at the end of the day, it's a three hour movie, they really can't explain everything in one go. Since movies arent perfect certain things are allowable as long as it gets the picture right, and endgame did just that. I dont really see what's missing here except a few things that might need to be in explained in further movies. Compared to KH3, a game that has a garbage story with terrible pacing and a poor concept of time travel, Endgame does fine on its own. The thing with John Wick is that it already established a formula of constant action in each of their movies. It isn't too much story because the whole plot is that John gets pissed off and pisses other people off. It's obviously more streamlined in the way that they give the viewers what we need, a basic premise, and why the character is doing what he's doing, but as you keep watching John Wick, you learn more about him. The MCU itself is a complex universe that needs to complement its movies and tie into each other in its entirety. There are some plot holes here and there, but to me, the MCU has consistency in how well done most of their movies are, especially to name a few.

I feel the movie made it deliberately vague as to whether winston actually betrayed john. He fell in a very specific place where he would survive and winston deliberately shot only at the bulletproof jacket, not johns head or chest. Also when john comes onto the roof he asks winston, "Parlay?" And winston says "Yes, Parlay" as if its the name of a plan they concocted. Winston probably wanted the adjudicator and high table to think John Wick is dead so that him and john can go after the high table in the dark without the high table interfering. Also winston was hesitant to get the cleaners to obtain johns body because he knew the bowery kings men would pick him up.

I gotta say I think this has all been a setup. They wanted Wick back and I think he has found out that they ordered his wife's death, and put Greyjoy in his path from the start. Wick needed a way to find the top dog, and this was the only way. Now that he knows who he is, Wick is gonna find him and finish this chapter. After all everyone who helped him knew they would have to pay but still did it anyway because they feared Wick more than the Table.

Interesting theory, but Helen died of something else like some type of terminal illness. That isn't to say the High Table didn't get her sick or not, just when they intend to murder their targets, it's usually violence and not subterfuge such as poisoning.

@@mnaug Even if the High Table and the Elder went the way of letting Helen die so they can have John back. I think they would've realized how that'd backfire unless their intention was to purge various figures in the High Table and reorganize with what's left. Look at the number of bodies John has left since he 'came back'. Took out a Russian Mafia leader of the High Table in NYC, but John did make peace with Viggo's brother. John destroyed both branches of the D'Antonio family in Italy and NYC, he's killed countless assassins, his actions led to losing various low ranking subordinates of both Continental NYC and Bowery King's operation. He killed the Moroccan Continental's old boss with Sofia even though she runs that branch now. He clearly turned his back on The Elder and will be out for revenge against the High Table too. If their purpose was to let John return and disrupt their order, then congratulations, mission accomplished. I don't think they did or wanted to, it seems like many figures under the table and around actually were fine with John 'getting out' and living a normal life with his wife before she died. Many of them in the first and second movie seemed genuine in expressing their condolences of her passing, but it may be a bit of fear knowing that he's back and he'll fight his way through strictly out of love of Helen.

I don't think Winston Betrayed Wick. I think he saved him by giving him a chance to fight another day. I think Winston could have warned Tick Tock Man about helping Wick and bring him to the the Bowery King. WInston has a lot of respect for Wick and Winston could become the head of the Secret Society of Assassins. I loved the "Red Room" that this movie had just like the MCU and also the real name being Jardani was a nice revelation as he is European.

I think the way they are handling Wick's origin in the movies is great and satisfactory; what draws us to Wick is what we don't know about him. So sprinkling characters from his past and having Wick interact with them in the present unveils little by little what he's been through. From a narrative and writer's point of view, I like the mystery of Wick's past, and it's more appealing if we aren't shown everything.

I think, I got something. When Winston shoots John, it's either he cleverly messed up his shots (you see he didn't even try to aim for John's head or chest, instead he kept shooting the bulletproof armor, but he did it so quickly that it looked like he was ending John) or, he was an extremely awful shooter that he can't kill a man three feet away from him with a fully loaded gun. Also, about John, he did something there, too. You know what Baba Yaga does when he doesn't have a gun going up against opponents shooting at him? Most of the times he doesn't back away, he *charges and acquires* the opponent's gun or *disarm* them. We see there he jumped off the building himself. Also he looked way too emotional for a Baba Yaga when Winston did the pledge, like he was selling his act to look betrayed by Winston. Finally, the adjudicator soon realized all that in the end. That was why she bothered came back to Winston to remind him about John. Just trying to make me understand and love this movie even more, guys. :)
