I really like your retelling and passion and pov on the book, and i agree on the sewing scene and the distraction and the "who did this to you" being every females fav moment💓 But the part where kai kills the girl and buries her and puts flowers on top of her and thats the green flag for paedyn to think: oh maybe hes good, is so messed up😭 Also i thought they had to get each others bands but they've done everything but that, it didnt seem like the best chance to spend all the time chatting and getting to know each other, with no care for the trial

Love your take on this! It definitely puts a light on the fact that while all of these adult/dark things are happening around them they still are just teenagers that had to grow up too fast

I have book club for Powerless next week and I took notes. I made note of all the same quotes as you! Favorites for sure. Did you notice the how many times drowning came up? Kia’s Ch 20 “she’s the embodiment of a bad decision…And I can feel myself drowning” And then Paedyn’s Ch 27 “I’m playing a dangerous game…hoping I don’t drown.” Then Kia mentions he could drown in her eyes…..
