ironically, covid was mostly FANTASTIC for me, as a Street Musician every day and night in New England. zillions of strangers thanked me profusely for being a bright light in a world of grey, and going out every day and playing my artsy musics kept me from hanging myself. that it cheered so many strangers up (plus when I'm looping i can get ppl to start DANCING in public!) was a huge bonus! I think human beings NEED to go thru SERIOUS SHIT like this, so they learn what is really important and what isn't.

@@DramaQueenMalena What are you talking about? I'm not sure what being Canadian has to do with it, or what exactly your comment is referring to. In March I was laid off of my 2nd job (non essential) so I have 1/2 the income. I can't afford to pay all my bills, but The Canadian UnEmployment insurance has strict application criteria. You can't work less than a 7 day stretch. But I have a 5 day stretch as my 2nd job falls on the weekday and my essential job is on the weekend. *No unemployment insurance money for me!* I check the Canadian/covid relief BS site and they have strict criteria too. If you make more than $1,000 Canadian dollars in one month you don’t qualify. You have to make less in one month. Ah, but I make a bit more than $1,000 CAD per month on my weekend job. So, no Canadian/covid Emergency Relief for me! But wait, there’s more…. I don’t qualify for either supplements, but that doesn't change the fact that I NOW have half the income of what I make a month. I have bills to pay based on my full income. I guess the visa card is going to make a killing off interest for the next few years. At this point I’m just grateful to have a visa and will soon have to check out the local food banks for assistance. Let’s hope there’s no criteria at the food banks! What were you saying about Canada again? Please elaborate? Cause I’m having trouble breathing and that’s not from any CV19 padded diagnostic numbers produced by W.H.O./U.N., that’s actually because the lockdown is based on error numbers and inspite of wrong numbers projected that are less than the common flu they STILL haven’t lifted the lockdown. Canadian politician still hasn't given an open-up date!!!!!!!!! and !!!!! Now I can see why the suicide numbers will rise . So, fuck you.

Tbf this video is an American perspective. I'd have to check the numbers but the bushfires seem to have had a bigger impact on people's lives in Australia than the pandemic will. Recession hurts, but it probably doesn't cause as much death and destruction as fires going on for months right at your doorstep. I'm in Europe, so the pandemic hit hard here, but the consequences of this event, compared to having everything burning around me, don't seem so serious. I was lucky not to have met anyone who died from COVID-19, and even though I'm not working yet it seems I have to just wait about a month or so before life starts going back to "quasi normal", so maybe that's why the bushfires still seem much more serious.

Ive lost hope for "normal" times again, i will probably be an adult when things are normal-ish. I havent seen my friends for more than a year and have done nothing but watch anime. My concept of time is gone, idk if something happened yesterday or 3 years ago. @@snoopstheboss994 none of those things you mention or even all COMBINED touch covid (and the fallout from covid). Yes, the Human Condition has always been a horror show.... but covid is THE biggest thing to hit this planet so far. (The world wasn't remotely as populated or developed during the Bubonic Plague!) To AuTortle, the BRIGHT side is....MOST OF THE WORLD SHARES YOUR FEELINGS... (I often don't even know if it's day or night cuz no window in my bedroom!) and overall, covid is a POSITIVE thing, in the long run. ex: 4 million American workers QUIT their jobs in Sept, 4 million QUIT in October, and 4 million QUIT in November!! Guitar companies sold MORE GUITARS than ever before... PRE-COVID....humans just went along as indentured slaves on hamster wheels. BUT NOW, no one wants to go back to MEANINGLESS LIVES and MEANINGLESS JOBS. So many earthlings are thinking "you said I could DIE....and yet I haven't even ever LIVED yet!!!!!" Covid also got rid a mountain of WASTE in our society, cuz shit got real.
