I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. No matter how lonely I am, I refuse to go on dating apps and simp after women for attention. This has got to be the dumbest most ignorant comment I've seen yet on this video and shows how many guys just tell on themselves that they have no real world experience. Being on a dating app is not simping. Do any of you even know what simping means? Simping is you wasting resources directly on a woman who does not reciprocate. If a guy wants to potentially meet women in other cities states countries etc, you will have to use dating apps. If you prefer to hate women and be alone forever, stay away from them.

(Weirdly some who I’m not as close with, treat me better and I’d have to maintain communication with them.) But… I don’t have the guts or the heart to ignore my my Mom for example… but I might do the closest thing by only answering with the most minimal texts, and keeping calls very short… don’t know that I could explain to her/others, or that I want to… idk… it hurts to talk casually while you’re watching your miserable life pass you by and you’re dying inside. @@Tenorman51 I've never dated online and never will. But from what I have _heard,_ those "promising nibbles" you had for the first couple of months as a new member, were pushed by the app on purpose to try to get you hooked, and then they also on purpose dry up the matches to make you wonder what's going on, and get you to pay up for more. Courtney might talk a game about dating apps... as a woman, though. Not as a man. Only near the end of the video did she finally wonder what was her now-husband's experience on it. Truth is, only the highest-value men get almost all of the share of women approaching them, whereas most men who are even above average have very few prospects if any. I suppose consequently though, it also means most women are highly materialistic and superficial - which is naturally bad news for high value males in that regard, since most of the women approaching them only want his wallet, the lamborghini rides and the free lobster dinners. It makes sense given that you reported being approached by so many leeches.

This reminds me of when I was watching a documentary about male loneliness, and it then introduced the Japanese hikikomori (Japanese lonely males). As soon as it mentioned the part where girls were "helping" them overcome their loneliness by charging them money to talk to them etc - my immediate response was *NO.* _NO, NO, NO._ Because what immediately hit me in that moment was all the context leading up to it: our history of silent cultural messaging in the background that we have accepted for too long, shaming men so extensively (weak, loser - said derogatorily not sympathetically) to the point that even without batting an eye we throw in there some extra largely-unrelated descriptors as if just to get our kicks from it (misogynistic, toxic - yes, apparently somehow suffering males equates misogyny.) And here, in the middle of this, society (in this case primarily women) swooped in to eat these males alive - exploiting their weak state, in the middle of beating them with the blame stick, for money, for the *pretense* of being liked. All without a single criticism of it by the documentary or anyone interviewed - but rather painting these girls as heroes. Why does this happen? Society isn't only women - it's also men. When society encourages male loneliness and suffering, it's the women _and the men_ who encourage it. Both reciprocate what it means to be the "right kind of male" in society, both punish and shame men for suffering. I also remember a conversation I had with an acquaintance of mine in the past, where we got around to talking about my depression, and she immediately without even missing a beat just nonchalantly said "why don't you just hire an escort?" I was stunned and she went on something like "yeah you'll have sex and you'll feel better." Um, no? Even forgetting how she just so insultingly casually said it, just the content of the message is in and of itself insulting. Is this how women think of males? Right, I'll pay someone what money I have, to pretend to want to be with me? Needless to say, it didn't take long for my acquaintance to prove not to be friendship material. Too many guys have effectively been told they have no value - and then they're figuratively beaten for having the audacity to suffer for that. All I can say right now is beg them not to let society reinforce that feeling of low-value such as insulting notions like _paying for intimacy._ Don't do it, you're worth far more than that. I know it's not easy, but somehow, you'll have to find the strength to pull yourself out, hopefully you find people who actually care to help you out of actual compassion for you, build yourself up little by little and in doing so increasingly realize your own value.

@@Tcat586 Yeah, men definitely have a much higher sex drive than women so it makes sense - and in fact, that should be something acknowledged instead of demonized, since it's just a pretty fundamental part of maleness. That's not to say that of course detrimental things can result from it, but unnuanced, hamfisted narratives like "toxic masculinity" open up a _lot_ of problems - including for women, not just primarily men. These kinds of narratives, the constant shifting of bad behaviours to being "male" (consequently pardoning female behaviours as automatically good - if a female is bad it's "internalized misogyny" to lay the blame back on men), easily leads to people just having such a dehumanizing view of males that they can barely even fathom that men are not just sex-hungry dogs (some men might be, and some men are nothing even close), that men are individuals and they suffer all the emotions as women do. They say "men need to be in touch with their emotions" but at the same time they're constantly talking over us and screeching over us, we shut down and keep our thoughts private. Then come the head-slaps and the harpy-shriek demands to "open up and communicate and talk about our feelings" lol. Not all women of course - but it's an alarmingly common theme for a reason. It really goes to show how much society has demonized the suffering male - they pretty much don't ever shut up for a minute and _actually listen._

hikikomori is a different thing. it goes well beyond male loneliness. it goes way into the extreme ends of it. hikikomori don't engage with anything outside of their rooms. at all. not that they can't and want to. they just don't want to. they don't see a point in socializing, finding a job, getting out of the house. don't see a point in being part of humanity a whole. many hikikomori do not even leave their rooms and live off welfare. there are also female hikikomori and these are different from men. very similar at first but intentions change. female hikikomori often suffer from extreme anxiety and cannot interact at all with the opposite sex without having a panic attack. most want to be part of society, as opposed to the male hikikomori who have just given up on everything, but they don't know how and can't find a way to break that barrier. there is probably a lot more to this, so far this is my understanding of hikikomori

(these are all dialectics of the neomarxist end-of-history cultists buzzwords)... as someone who has observed the world since 2008, because too much free time and not working class... american society is completely extremely crazy... toxic masculinity is being weak beta male.. liberal... emotional man... that's what toxic masculinity is.... there's nothing more aggressive than insecure beta male, who is constantly emotional and has a need to prove himself how "manly" he is... all the violent men are emotional men , all liberals are emotional and men who vote liberals is questionable that they even are men... men are stoic and control their emotion and are not phased easily and don't react to things around them (specially violently...) In america there's easy correlation to draw, wich are the most violent places in america? american ghettos, specially like chicago and detroit... who is the male majority population? blacks, mexicans (whites as well obviously...) , what they all have in common? they vote liberal/democrat it's sadens me to see how america is completely infiltrated by dialectic cult and how with american cultural characeristics your society is restructured into communism... literally the same mentally illl dialectic cult wich east-europe went thru for 50~ years - pure hell ... but american version of it is even more extreme , scary stuff .. (i lived thru soviet union briefly..) I guess only east-europeans comprehend fully what's happening at the moment in america.... don't want to sound like doomsday advocate (wich core of dialectic cult actually is, end of humanity and progress means towards synthesis and spawning new thesises, like a loop... up to "godhood".. the end of history, devolving back to the garden of eden... thats how twisted they all are...) , but proactively and real-time you can witness how they are bringing the world into ww3 , but the war is more like 5th generation psychological warfare, you don't fight in the trench.... the war is fight in the minds of the civilian populations...

The last few dating apps I’ve experienced would get stagnant. You’d see the same matches over and over. You’d reach out to girls that seemed like a good match and mostly not hear anything. I’ve found just getting outside and around people has been better. Lifting weights and doing things that interest me has helped. Personally, I think it’s better to build relationships in your networks and attending things will give more success. 1. You’re happier 2. You’re more social 3. Confidence grows. 4. People that know you will also look out for you too. They may have the perfect person for you as well
@Justanothercog24
@Justanothercog24 Жыл бұрын
There's several things at play with the stagnation: 1. Less women are using the apps. The M to F ratio is now at 4:1 so about 75% men to 25% women. When the ratio isn't balanced, it practically makes OLD useless. 2. A new profile gets prioritized exposure which gives the initial attention high, but it dies out as time goes on. 3. The options are NOT as endless as OLD marketing would have ppl believe. It's like being presented with a pile of items & told to find the one you want. With every swipe/ match/ discard, the pile gets smaller & smaller until it's pretty much gone.

It's not women or feminism. It's actually the dating app companies. Their billions depend on all those things to keep men hyper-reliant on the apps. Crazy.

I feel this changed my mindset and perspective on talking to or interacting with women, I read it on a forum, I thought the guy hit the nail right on the head. It changed my perspective and mindset on talking to women. A guy was asking for advice on how to get better at talking to women, and people used the word practice "It bothers and annoys, enrages me or pisses me off a lot when people use the word practice, because the way I see it, for women, there is no such thing as practicing talking to men, because women's lives are on autopilot when it comes to talking to men since puberty, due to all of the constant attention they've been getting since then, women are forced to, have no choice but to learn how to talk to men, and they gain it right away by doing nothing since they don't have to open their mouth first" I thought to myself, never truer words have been said or spoken. I thought that was bang-on right there. and i got a response from a dating coach on youtube, which enraged and pissed me off more, while I don't disagree with him, I just don't like how he said the brutal cold harsh fact of how different for men and women when it comes to getting better at talking to and interacting with the opposite sex. It makes sense and I like to believe there is far more advice for guys in the world on how to talk to and interact with girls then there is advice for girls on how to talk to and interact with guys. He said: "Don't worry about what other people don't have to do or why something is easier for them or whatever the comparison may be. Focus on you, where you want to be, what you need to do to get there and then get moving." That pissed me off more when I read that. Another reason why I don't like it is because it feels or seems like the way a guy talks and interacts with people or a guy's social skills, the way he behaves around others, has a much bigger impact on his attractiveness or ability to get a girlfriend then the other way around. As in, the way a girl talks or a girl's social skills doesn't impact her attractiveness or ability to get a boyfriend as much as it does for a guy to get a girlfriend. Men need to focus more on the behavioral aspect than women do when it comes to attracting someone it seems. The main reason why i hate that, is because guys, men, can unfortuneately be labeled creepy or weird in interactions or social situations with women, even if the guy, man, never meant any harm, was never trying to hurt the woman, the reverse isn't true though. The way a man talks or behaves in a conversation or in an interaction between a man and a woman is what makes or breaks attraction, not the other way around. And due to men always having been expected to walk up to women and open our mouth, it makes more sense for the man to need to practice but not the woman. If an interaction or conversation goes poorly or bad between a man and a woman,. It's always the guys fault, it's impossible for a woman to screw up a conversation or interaction with a guy, it seems., as in, make someone feel uncomfortable. Men have to do all the practicing and all the learning, women just have to exist and automatically have dudes lined up wanting to be with them, that doesn't take any training or practice or trial and error or learning

@@RealHomeRecording 25! So young! Maybe don't be average. Develop your charisma and confidence levels. I am a lot older, and wish I was 25 and average. I have grey hair and wrinkles, and never been considered 'handsome', not even by my mother!!! But I get the dates just from people I meet in life. No dating apps, I just treat women with respect, listen to them, make them laugh with a bit of flattery, then they want my number to continue the chat some time. Oh, and I spend no money. Summertime parks with a picnic blanket and a flask of tea works for me. It is not being about cheap, it is just better if there is no expectations of money being lavished. Sadly though, my favourite woman has moved away from me to university and it is now long distance, with messages in the evening and nothing else all day. But she does check in every evening to tell me about her day, and I write her stuff then. Although she has 'abandoned me', to never be seen again, I only want her. I met her in the street asking for directions, I wasn't even 'evaluating' her, so no chat up line needed. One "mistake" I made when filling out those forms is being open-minded for physical attributes. I was an average professional guy in his late twenties, 5'10" 200 pounds. Not being picky I set my ranges for a good pick from 5 feet to 5 feet 10... didn't matter. But then for weight range... you have to allow for your choice, a 5 feet girl might weigh 90 pounds... a 5'10 girl might be healthy at 160-170 pounds. Well, woe is me, my first three matches were more around the 5 feet 160 pounds range. After the third match, I just gave up... lol

This video came out at just the right time for me. I just stopped my subscription to Christian Mingle yesterday and I was feeling a little bad about it, because I hadn't had much "luck" with it and I was wondering if it was just me doing things wrong. It's good to know that other guys don't have much success with dating apps, and that for a lot of us it is a waste of money. I know there are guys who do well on dating apps, but currently I'm not one of them for a bunch of reasons, and like Courtney said, it'd be better for me to invest my time and money on other things. Also, I'd never pay $500 a month. I ended up spending $160 on Christian Mingle with no dates and one catfishing scam (that thankfully I saw through) and that was more than enough for me to stop paying.

I've seen analysis videos of the data behind dating apps and as a solid 6-7 as a woman you can expect to get between 1000 and 10,000 times more matches than a 6-7 man. The average male user gets a handful of matches per year.

And believe it or not I'm Christian I do not go around using women for sex , that is considered sinful and will take you to hell when you die . Hey Courtney you should do a feature on matchmakers and how much they cost on average and stuff just as a response to this. The assumption is that the cost of a matchmaker is too high but compared to the costs of dating apps they might be the more reasonable option these days. Really give it a look. It's fascinating to see how much they cost and how much those costs vary. It seems that the whole field is rather niche and if it was utilized more with more competition prices could normalize.

This reminds me of the old times in college. The college was a LOT of guys, because of the type of classes. So the local clubs had a small entry free for any men, but not for girls. Why? Because they wanted to even the numbers a bit. Allowing going in free meant, that there were a LOT more guys, than girls, and that is not as good for business. By making guys pay they reduced the number of guys a bit, and also increased their own income.

If she does finally get around to it then she needs to make several control groups 2 utilizing a very good looking guy's pics & another 2 using a average looking guy's pics. One with money & prestige the other average job & salary. That will yield the best range to test results.

You are right, this isn’t giving men anything. The only way I see paying $500 a month for dating is to a matchmaker when you are too busy to tease out who to go on a date with, they do all the work for you and you just show up on a date at your favorite restaurant with a beautiful, intelligent woman, who also pays for matchmaking services, waiting for you. But I’d still recommend meeting someone organically and invest $500 a month into a project or a hobby instead.

I seriously want to drop out of the dating market altogether. I’m 37, college educated, 6 feet tall, not a bad looking dude at all, but the one thing that holds me back is the one thing that women these days are using as a screening tool, the one thing that means more than personality, contents of your character the way you look… Everything Money If you don’t have cold, hard cash, literally nothing else matters, and I’m tired of it. I just got ditched by a gal this week, a so-called “good Christian girl” from the middle of nowhere, Montana. Everything was going amazing until she found out that my income was only about $45k for my primary job, not counting my second job. Two days later, she had to “rethink” things One day later, I got my ass kicked to the curb Women aren’t looking for a connection. They’re looking for a sponsor, and if that has spread as far as middle of nowhere, Montana? Gentlemen, pack your bags and quit. There’s no such thing as a unicorn or a girl who’s “different” Money first, content of your character comes in about 27th on the priority list

Then, I'd after that, maybe 5, and that's not even matches. I have tried dating apps for two specific periods of time, and I can't. I took legit pictures, no more than one selfie, well-dressed, one with friends, yada yada. Clever prompt, the whole 9. I'll tell you what's going on, hard-working me like me are dumping our paychecks into insane rent costs. Rent is no longer reasonable if you live with roommates, and heaven forbid you want to live independently. This was not a problem until around 2016, at least in my experience. At that time, my rent for a single unit in Naples, FL was $550, now, if I want my own apartment in Colorado, I have to dish out $1500/month ON THE LOW END. My ex and I just moved out of our apartment, and now I live in a van. Good luck finding a kind, good-looking woman when you live in a van. This problem is getting out of control.

Another dastardly trick all these dating do, is something i call the double ghost. 1. You match and start a conversation 2. After 3 or 4 back and forth replies, things go silent. 3. Tinder blocks your (or her) message from being received. It sends on your end and never gets receieved on her end. 4. This results in both parties believing the other went ghost.
