This was a great video! It's so nice to HEAR the path of his imagination, his positive outlook toward drawing for fun, and his sense of humor with his work. It's inspiring! In his bug segment, I fully expected to see him doing a cockroach battle against robots. It's been said that in a post-apocalyptic world, the roaches will still be around, and of course, the robots!!!! Then THEY would have to battle for supreme ruling!!!! Side Note: Yay for Earthworm Jim!!!!! If you know, you know!😁

Great sketchbook tour! I think his thoughts on AI "art" are spot on...
@beardmonster8051Ай бұрын
Nope. They are clueless. How many AI artists do you follow? He's talking complete nonsense.
@SaHaRaSquadАй бұрын
@@beardmonster8051 He makes perfect sense, he does art for the process and for himself while AI bros think they're doing art because they get a pretty picture out of it. If you think he's talking nonsense, it might help to pay attention.
@V6HAVOCАй бұрын
@@beardmonster8051 art is beyond just about the pretty results, which is something AI users seems to only care about. If you truly do enjoy creating art then why aren't YOU creating them lol?
@NatePilgrimАй бұрын
@@beardmonster8051 Instagram already drools enough slop in my feed, for me to follow it on purpose. Besides, there is no such thing as an "AI artist"
@beardmonster8051Ай бұрын
@@SaHaRaSquad For the record I'm a traditionally trained artist who happens to be interested in new things. I remember my painting teacher's disgust when I talked about creating digital art back in the days. The reaction against AI art by many artists today is the exact same phenomenon. Gut reaction first, and made-up arguments to fit the reaction later. Anyone who has spent some time with actual ambitious AI artists knows that he's talking nonsense. It's like someone only knowing of paint-by-numbers and talking as if that's what "painting" is. The AI art tools and their use have diverged and developed enormously over the past couple of years. It's hard to keep up even if you follow channels dedicated to the development, like Olivio Sarikas or Theoretically Media.

I doodle/draw at church. I tell people I am a kinetic listener and would not be able to take in the sermon if my hands were not busy.

I'm the same way. Not the church part, but the listening part. I absorb info better when my hands are busy. My wife gets mad because she thinks I'm not paying attention when she's talking to me and I'm drawing at the same time. Rats will eat you also... there was a guy that had rats as pets a mile or so from our house, at some point he died.. the rats ate him. The coroner lost it when a rat came out of the chest cavity (this came from one of the officers at the scene). Even after a complete renovation it's been known as the "rat house" for 20+ years now.
