I have a complete set of Tomica cars from the 90s as a kid and I still have them to this day

Tomica grew up with us since we were kids. It's fun to reminisce about those days

I had the same experience with Tomica Shop in Osaka. My hopes of finding some limited editions or rare models were dashed. Although you can find some cool fan items, the rest can be found in any larger toy store.

If you collect Diecast and live in Japan, I can't stress how good Mercari is for the hobby, especially if you're a loose car collector. Mercari is a flea market app made for phones, but usable on a PC, and they have a cheap postage deal with Japan Post. That means the minimum price is 300 yen, and there are thousands of used and new diecast cars for that price and higher. People often include little handwritten notes of thanks or little origami boxes and it's a beautiful extension of the ideal Japanese shopping experience. The down side is that they don't release money to the seller unless you indicate that you received it and give feedback, and they leave only a week from postage for you to do that; usually it arrives in only a couple of days, but several times postage delays meant I was late. The first time in a month you do this, they complete it automatically, but after that, they will suspend you from buying for a week. If you contact the seller you can avoid this but I often forgot who was sending what to me when and failed to, resulting in a few one-week suspensions. Also, not all sellers use the cheap postage so you have to be careful when buying that you don't also commit to an extra postage charge.

Hello friend, could you please make a video about shops that sells 3rd party action figures, rare action figures, vintage action figures, some import action figure brands like NECA and ToyBiz? Maybe about some shops which are not in the center of the town, but in some far neighborhoods with good and rare collections. Maybe about some local action figure shops... It would be really helpful for someone who visits Tokyo to toy hunting. :)

That's a good idea I'll try to look for it on my next trip. sometimes there's a problem, some local stores don't allow video shooting inside. but I'll try to find it thanks for the suggestion.
