I'm certainly glad you found your "happy place" and are loving it. We lived in a Del Webb community in San Antonio TX for 11 yrs before moving to The Villages. We LOVED Del Webb UNTIL COVID hit. Their property management (CCRC) from AZ SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN ON THE COMPOUND THE ENTIRE OF COVID! We literally got to use NOTHING (to include the outdoor pools) the entire pandemic. We paid full Quarterly dues for nothing except garbage pick up. From what I understand, CCRC handles ALL Del Webb neighborhoods. We were even "warned" about using the outdoor walking paths during covid. No thank you, Del Webb communities were treated more as prisons during the pandemic, so we searched and found The Villages. HOPE you never experience what we did, but if you do, you will totally understand why people were out of there to places were we could have freedoms.

I live in and LOVE The Villages - it’s a large community but the way it’s built, it never feels crowded in each Village. The busy areas are the business districts, some are Villages owned and some are just regular businesses but all is open to the public. I am glad there are so many different communities- different strokes for different folks!!

Have lived in a Del Webb and now in The Villages, night and day difference. Happy to be here enjoying the freedom of being an adult allowed to make our own choices and decisions about movement/involvement during the pandemic.

I did as well went and looked at a few 55+ communities and I also chose Stone creek and I bought my home should be ready late August

I live in The Villages but Stonecreek was my other choice. I moved here mostly because my church is very close. But there are times when I wish I would have gone to a smaller community and the pool looks fabulous. I can't complain though because I have a beautiful veranda that's brand new in a new area and everyone moved in around the same time. My neighbors are very nice. And in The Villages you can be as social as you want to be or not. I wanted a new home after having to do a lot of work on my last two homes. The joke is that even though a home is new you still want to add all the touches the way you want it. Thank you though for showing us

I'm from Wisconsin and planning a trip this year to come down and tour some communities. I want to buy an existing home. Is there an advantage or price premium for block and stucco homes as opposed to wood frame? How about insurance costs? I would expect block and stucco to be more durable.

I had a two day stay in stone creek in a model home. The prices are crazy for the poor quality of house and space. Do not get fooled the land is added to price and all the up grades . Plus $8000 closeing fees and a extra $1000 added at closer but did not even explain what it was for.

Not to throw water on the area which my wife and I looked there ended up at Del Webb spruce creek, the new development around 200 is getting unbearable. Apartment and rent to buy homes “every where “
