"Today's story is about the legacy of a gentleman named Alex, a devoted husband and father, whose life was tragically cut short in an unforgiving event.
Alex grew up in the 1950s, graduated high school in the 1960s, married his wife Jennifer, and had kids. Following high school, he became a pilot for the US AIRFORCE and later owned his private airport in the backyard of this house. In 2005, Alex took off in his airplane and had an emergency landing, but it wasn't on the runway. It was in a field in his backyard. Alex was killed when the plane's engine stalled just after takeoff, and it crashed into the woods about 100 yards from his home. Rescue officials used a crane to retrieve the aircraft stuck 40 feet up in a pine tree. Unfortunately, Alex passed away, leaving behind his wife and children and ..For unknown reasons, the family left this house behind.
Alex's love for flying was only surpassed by his love for his family. But sometimes fate has a cruel twist in store for us all. It's a very heart-wrenching turn of events; Alex met his untimely demise in a plane crash, not in the far reaches of the sky, but in his backyard, shattering the tranquility of the family estate and leaving behind a void that could never be filled." I didn't realize this happened until reporting the news on this video, and my jaw hit the floor when I found out the story. Now, let's step inside; maybe we can all figure out why the family abandoned this house.

I can see why his family left the house after he was killed - horrible memories basically in their backyard.

You should announce yourself (as I've seen some explorers do) saying something along the lines of "Hello, if anyone is here, I'm just exploring & taking pictures of abandoned houses & don't mean to scare of harm anyone!" & repeat it every few minutes. But no way in hell would I go in an abandoned property alone; I'd have someone with me & 1 or 2 others on the perimeter of the property somewhere on guard for any sign of trouble!

Nope I've been thinking about this ever since I seen his first video Me personally I would walk in as if I owned the place and say what has happened to my house ! WHAT HAS HAPPENED to MY HOUSE ! I would go in very loudly and very vocal as if it was my own home, And if I ran into someone I would be very brut Asking WHAT are you doing here you are trespassing ! That would automatically scare someone away or try to get away which would be a good thing If it happened to be a person who owns the property Then there would be no doubt about it when they come back and say excuse me you're in my house lol Then he could just introduced himself and apologized that he was just trying to be safe with saying them things But he needs to go in and start being very vocal as if it's his home WHAT HAVE YOU DONE to MY HOME It could simply mean that it was his home referred to him to to go explore It makes me feel uneasy when he goes in timidly If people are going to go into homes to explore they need to be in control of the situation not the other way around Saying that he's only there to explore would make them feel Superior and telling him to get out and leave He should have left a light on whether it burned down or not he should have left a light on so that when anyone came back to squat they would know that the place is being looked after or that someone is coming around.

Hoping there's a part two. Did you check at the town hall for records on this house? How could there be water and power still connected? Nothing adds up. At least the sheriff's department should be notified so that the place could be searched and the puzzle concerning this house solved. Thanks for sharing this with us.

If the utilities are on that means someone is paying for it, obviously the owners of the property. It will keep the heat going so pipes don't freeze during the winter and the sump pump running so water doesn't flood the basement, if there is a basement. Perhaps making the police aware to possible squatters, they could notify the owners to find out for sure or to at least make them aware to possible uninvited activity on the property.

Are there 2 houses on this property? BigBankz & Silent Hills Explorations did videos of this house and it looked the same on the outside,, but on the inside to the house that you showed.. Each of the houses they showed looked identical to the other on the inside of the house & on the outside. So I thought that maybe your video is the second house on the property if there is another house. The house that you explored was so beautiful and looked much grander than the house they showed. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

That would be really hard to abandon that house if I had lived there. I’m glad this one didn’t leave any photos behind. Don’t get me wrong, I’m curious to look through them when they are left but it’s just odd how some just freely leave them. And definitely suspicious with the door having a brand new shiny lock on it. Too bad you don’t have one of those thin pinhole cameras to slip under the door crack 😁 Great video and looking forward to watching more.

I have an alarm in my house and the system self checks minimum of every hour whether its armed or not. If everything is working, then you get no alerts. If a sensor is malfunctioning (or batteries are dead or dying) then when it self checks it will say which zone is not working every time it self checks until you fix it and clear it. Thats probably what whatever system that is, was doing. If you would have stuck around for another hour you would have heard it announce the same issue again. So mystery may be solved. Maybe. lol. The bank probably left the system on and then disconnected the phone, disabling the outside connection. But it would still be monitoring whether set to armed or not. Your feeling of not being alone could be the pilot watching you. If there is such a thing who knows what a spirit is thinking or what there awareness is of even the condition of their house is? ;-) As far as why electric is still on there's two possibilities. 1. There are solar panels still working as someone else suggested. Some rooms don't work because the light bulbs are simply dead ! 2. The mortgage was still so large the family chose to give the house back to the bank and walk away. The bank may have chosen to leave the power on to keep sub pumps in the basement functioning to prevent flooding the basement with groundwater and destroying the foundation and also creating a mold issue. Happens alot when banks don't think of that. Houses can sit in foreclosure for many years before the bank does much with them. Just inefficiency by employees. The bank probably had the estate sale to clear out what the family left when the foreclosure was fresh. There could be more valuable stuff locked away by the bank itself in that room, that didn't sell, until they deal with it. Several employee changes later, it's forgotten. Door might also be locked because there are important mechanical stuff for the house they don't want intruders to screw with. Usually multiple furnace systems in a house that size, so several locked rooms maybe. I used to flip houses before retiring and dealt with foreclosures often. One last emotional thing. If it was my husband that died there Id never want to leave in case he was stuck there. Unless the kids couldn't deal with it. They'd have to come first. If hubby was the breadwinner its a good possibility they couldn't pay the mortgage without him. Sad. Why leave so much behind? Downsizing to fit a new budget. If your walking away from the house and can't fit everything where you're moving, why care if it's left there for someone else to steal or deal with? Hard to even function when theres so much to deal with.

You know a house can't just have some power, it either has power or it doesn't. You can have breakers turned off or fuses pulled, but there's still power. When a house still has power personally, I don't consider them abandoned, since somebody is still paying the bills. 22:34, I think the door goes to the room at, 14:50. Most of the bedrooms upstairs did have second locks.

Nice job I liked the tour of the house. I had a 14 year old friend who used to explore abandoned houses he would sneak his grandpas hand gun out of his drawer and take it with him for protection. The utilities are likely on to keep the heat running in the winter to prevent pipes from freezing and to keep any sump pumps running to prevent flooding of the basement, if there is one. The lamp he mentioned as buzzing was plugged into a timer, perhaps they have the lights turn off and on at different times to make it look like the owner is still there.
