LOTS OF THE MINES I HAVE ALREADY EXPLORED ARE NOW CLOSED UNFORTUNATELY. I WISH I COULD GET OUT THERE MORE OFTEN TO EXPLORE BEFORE THEY ARE CLOSED FOR EVER. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU DEFINITELY FIND SOME AMAZING MINES.

Great find. Looks like the hike was worth it. seems like when I have run out of AZ mines to find another pops up. I just found another working on editing now.

“Gly”: Well, that’s not something you see every day. They dumped the pay ore down the skip sheet outside of the shaft only for it to end back up in the ore shoot inside the haulage adit. Interesting. Looking forward to seeing how many drifts you find down that shaft.

I actually can't wait to go visit the in-laws now. They moved to Surprise Arizona in Dec. Go explore some old mines and maybe find one to buy at the right price. Winter there sure would be better there than here.

Whoa, looks like they dug about quite a bit. I mean, yeah, it's big once you look at certain things, but you wouldn't say that at first. Or so it looks, cameras can be deceiving in terms of size and perspective. :)

YOUR SO RIGHT. I HAVE SEEN MINE ADITS THAT HAVE VERY LITTLE TAILINGS, BUT THEY TURN OUT TO HAVE MILES OF TUNNELS. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A MAIN ADIT SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE MOUNTAIN. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A FIRE ESCAPE FOR THE MINERS.
