Nice video dad! And also if you see this Ryan, nice fun fact!

As you know buddy, Ry is full of fun facts! I hope that in 20, 30, 40... years when you drive over this bridge you remember this day and how much fun we had exploring it for the first time!

I truly enjoyed this video, The kid's perspectives are the best! A squirrel tube... The bridge weighs a million pounds...or more! Good job Dad! I'll be driving this bridge on October 22 on our way to Camp Hatteras. Thanks for the head's up!

Hi Mark! Thanks for watching and your nice comment! We filmed this in March when it was open for a day to foot and bike traffic. At some point this summer it was opened full time for vehicles. I just drove it this morning and the only thing to know for your October trip is they are still doing some touch-up's and often have one lane closed. It's not a big deal, but you may need to wait for a few minutes while traffic passes on the other side. And at least you'll have a great view if there are any delays!

That was awesome guys. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Alex and Ryan have so much energy and excitement. Running with the go pro is the best part. It has like a movie cinema feel. That is a cool fun fact. didn't know that. Hope you all have a great Sunday.

Thank you Titus! Ryan is full of plenty cool fun facts! And you are right about it being a once in a lifetime experience. The boys were lukewarm initially about going, but ended up being enthusiastic and had a great time. This was one of those instant classics and I can see us driving over the bridge in 20 years and talking about this day. As ALWAYS, thank you for your support and positivity. Hope you and the family are well and hope you've had a great Sunday.

LOL GoPro energy!!! Can I get some of that from the boys??
@fatherandsonsfishing2 жыл бұрын
LOL, Kap! I'm working on a method to bottle that energy. I'll make sure you get some if I can come over and give that excavator a spin!

I’m thinking GoPro might want to send us some devices to test out, kinda like you with trail cameras! My boys can test the IS as good as anyone!

That Jug Handle bridge is pretty cool ! I was gonna ask how long it was but then Alex provided the details. I thought the boys left you in the dust there for a little while Randy. Serious question: Will the road that floods still remain open ? I definitely have to check out Alex’s channel . Peace out guys✌️✌️✌️ Sub # 24 dude !
@fatherandsonsfishing2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Don, this made Alex's day! They are going to remove the old road and I'm fascinated to see what happens. You can see from those two photos I posted what a disaster this road is during a storm. The "dunes" that are between the road and the ocean aren't natural dunes. The State needs to keep heavy machines and equipment on hand to constantly bulldoze the sand back into place. So I'm guessing it won't be long until a big storm cuts a new inlet through this area. Whether it will be a permanent inlet or not remains to be seen. This all just goes to show you that in the end, there ain't no beating Mother Nature at her game.

@@alexheinzel Hey Alex, I really like your video regarding Haters on your TikTok videos and I love your attitude about it. Haters gonna hate. I don’t do TikTok because as your Dad will attest, I have trouble making a KZbin video that’s less than 20 minutes, how the heck am I gonna make a video that’s less than a minute ?? Keep the positivity going and tight lines if you get out fishing any time soon.

I feel for the folks whose once beautiful sunset views from their decks now include the bridge. At least its a nice looking bridge.
@fatherandsonsfishing2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, totally. It didn’t make the final cut of this video, but as we walked off the bridge we talked about those houses along the sound just north of the bridge and how they went from beautiful views to Rt. 12 running through their living rooms. I don’t know the right answer, but I hope the collective good this brings the community from S-turns not being over-washed every time a storm comes through outweighs the eyesore and taxpayer expense. Time will tell?
@kevindavis47092 жыл бұрын
Most of the houses on the shoreline used to be several hundred yards from the ocean 20 years ago . And not quite sure if Highway 12 took a beating like did a few years back.
