Situated off an American interstate, sits a home tucked away from society. The first home we explore has remnants from all different time periods throughout 1950-1990s. Calendars vary from 1987 to 2015. Leading me to believe a squatter was using this home for some time as well. Many artifacts also indicate the owner was a military veteran and most likely served in the United States Air Force. I also must add, off camera we read letters from the mother of the man who was overseas at one time, but the letters will not be shown for respect of the loved ones as they also show the address for the home. The second home we explore is situated even further into the property. Resembling a cabin as well as being completely swallowed by overgrowth, this home was abandoned long before the first. The remnants are bare, but what we do find holds value as we discover a vintage television set dating back to the '60s along with other artifacts. If you enjoyed the video. leaving a thumbs up will let me know. Thank you for watching and remember to subscribe for more exploring videos.

Students at Exeter-West Greenwich Regional High School are mourning the death of a 16-year-old student killed when the car driven by her brother skidded into oncoming traffic. State police said Kristi Lussier of Exeter was a passenger in the car driven by her 17-year-old brother, Joseph. The accident occurred at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday on Route 3 near Metcalf Elementary School. According to police, Joseph Lussier collided with the vehicle in front of him. glanced off it and crossed into the opposite lane, where his car was hit by a third vehicle. He was listed in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital this morning. Kristi Lussier was pronounced dead at the hospital following the accident. The driver of the third car suffered minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation, but police said speed appears to have been a contributing factor. No charges have beenfiled. Students at the regional high school sobbed and consoled each other in hallways and outside the main office after learning Kristi Lussier had died. Kristi, a junior, had been a cheerleader since freshman year. Several of her squad members prayed together at the accident scene Wednesday afternoon

Yes, that's an Air Force uniform blues jacket, despite what a few others might claim. The cap is not - although the style is very much the same as what we still wear and refer to as the round hat, or "bus drivers hat." My guess is that when somebody set up that photo opp over there next to the record player, they had found that Trailways hat and put it up on top of the Air Force uniform jacket for another photo opp. Also: that Air Force uniform jacket is very old, and it likely belonged to the Edwin Morton from the letters at the end. The AF jacket belonged to someone with a last name that started with M. If you look at the jacket, you'll see "M-7835" on the inside stitching. That's called a Laundry Mark and something we use in basic training to identify our uniforms as ours and be sure we don't get them confused with someone else's. A laundry mark is your last name initial, followed by the last four of your social. So that jacket belonged to somebody with a last name starting with "M." If you Google it, you'll find an Edwin "Skip" Morton who was born in 1940 (and would have likely been around 2nd grade in 1948, when those school letters were written), and his obituary says he was in the Air Force.

♫ For the easiest travel on earth, Take a Trailways, take a Trailways, For the easiest travel on earth, Take a Continental Trailways bus. ♫ As opposed to... ♫ Go Greyhound, and leave the driving to us! ♫ I rode buses many during my youth, from one side of the country to another. When you said "Trailways... never heard of that," I laughed a bit in geezer. But this was a wonderful production - what amazing properties, both of them. I echo the comment about the expression of joy on your face when you cranked up the old Victrola; that piece of history would be worth quite a bit of coin in an antique shop. Such memories. Thanks for a great video.

The weird thing is that someone has to own that entire property and I wonder why they would let it go like that. It seems that something catastrophic may have happened and someone just let things as is. That date of birth and death on that door indicated a 16 year old. That could be a key to something. It should not be difficult to research the owner of the property.

That photo at 6:57 is a painting I see often in my home of Newfoundland. It depicts life in the pre-resettlement era. If those uniforms are really from the air-force, there is a good chance this person made landings in one of 3 places in the province. Goose Bay, where there is a Air Force Base, Gander where the airport has been used for land overs and fueling for Air Force planes, or in the capital of St. Johns. Newfoundland and Labrador is no stranger to the American military, in fact they still train from time to time in Goose Bay.

Great video. Like you said, a mystery with lots of clues left behind. I love little glimpses into people’s lives, like the handwriting practice papers, Air Force uniforms and that Trailways cap was probably worn by a bus driver. Maybe the man who lived there worked for the bus company after the Air Force. The Victrola moment was awesome. Some weird stuff too like there was one painting of a river that looked totally normal but there was a lizard man in one corner 😄 the door with all the names...very strange.

Info on brother MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Friends remembered Mark J. Lussier as smart, friendly and modest about his work in the software field. What led to the former Exeter man's murder Tuesday in a low-budget motel room, allegedly at the hands of a couple with criminal records, remained under investigation Friday. Lussier's childhood friends wondered what happened to him, and why. "He was a super nice person," said Raymond DeMello Jr., who said he'd known Lussier since they'd attended Metcalf Middle School and North Kingstown High School. "I can't believe this has happened to him. Nobody should have this happen to them." Lussier's body was discovered by staff at the Quality Inn and Suites Tuesday afternoon. He was partially submerged in a bathtub, and police said it appeared he had been dead for several hours. The police found Lussier had not been alone, and began searching for two people who they believed had been with him. Todd Sullo, 41, of Providence, and Lavern Price, 49, of Newport, had also shared the room, according to police. With assistance from the U.S. Marshals and Providence police, the detectives determined that Sullo and Price left in Lussier's black Acura and headed for New York City. On Thursday, the couple were driving north on Route 95 when the Connecticut State Police spotted Lussier's stolen car near Exit 60. The pursuit led to the couple speeding up to 90 miles an hour, and then crashing in East Lyme off the Exit 73 ramp. Both were taken into police custody. Price and Sullo were arraigned Friday in New London as fugitives from justice. They will be extradited to Rhode Island to face charges of murder. Their lives contrast with 51-year-old Lussier, remembered by friends as soft-spoken and respectful. Lussier ran track and cross-country at North Kingstown High, where he graduated from in 1982. He married and divorced twice, leaving behind two daughters and two stepsons. His former father-in-law, former state Rep. Rod Driver, declined comment Thursday evening. Lussier had left New England for a large home in Mount Pleasant, S.C., where he worked for a software company, according to friends and social media posts. DeMello said that Lussier remained in touch with others in his class and returned for a reunion for Metcalf Middle School held at Goddard Park. Childhood friends learned about Lussier's death from Facebook posts by the schools he attended.

So. Wow! I love decective work 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so this house, the family have been through turmoil. I could not find a reason for passing but found kristi’s obituary, she passed aged 16 in 2002, then her brother was murdered in a motel room a few years later, then in 2011 her mum passed! Her name was Deborah. Maybe they couldn’t face the memories in that house anymore? Certainly a dark past behind that. I will add the info I found regarding her mother and brother now. Also found some very old photos, it says her husband was a bus conductor so explains the cap and uniform, also see a black and white photo of a man in a navy uniform. Happy to send it if your interested! Xx

I don't think that box with a roof over it was a well. If it was a well consistent with the time these houses were constructed it would likely be a 4 foot well; that box would need to be much bigger to cover a 4 foot well. Those stickers were called "Wacky Package" stickers. I think we got those out of cereal boxes. I think they were popular when I was in 5th grade; about 1974-75. That hat above the uniform was part of a Trailways Bus Driver uniform. Seems like Claude Aiken advertised for them at some point in the late '70's or early '80's. That television, phonograph, radio combination is from the late '50's. Great video!

There are some truly vintage items in those homes. The records, the record players (entertainment units), the old books and I’m sure much more. Trailways was/is a charter bus company. Possibly after serving in the Air Force the person that lived there may have worked for that company.

It’s crazy to me that it says a Calendar from 2015 that you say you found that and we saw that because to me it seems like everything in here that I’ve seen so far is frozen in time I’d say to the 60s and 70s so I feel like 1987 would make the most sense

Trailways is a bus company like Greyhound. Although the jacket does look military, it appears to be Airforce. The hat is a bus driver's hat.

The house was likely built in either the 40's or 50's. Likely the 50's. Who ever owned it possibly served in Korea (50-53). If the house, and TV set are any indication, the Vet. must have been 30 or 40 when he got the house, and possibly, lived in until there the mid 90's or early 00's. Either he died, and the family abandoned the house, or his family moved him to a retirement home, and thus abandoned the house. Just educated guess, and I wanted too type. Have a nice day.

Kinda weird that there was Air Force uniforms and an Army 82C Field Manual. I'm thinking the person that lived there may have been a collector of military items. There were no military pictures or awards which is unusual for a Veteran. The cap that says "Trailways" is an old bus company.

@@MichelleJohnson-tg5lx I only say unusual because he did display a shirt and a jacket both with rank on them. I would think there would be more. I served 12 years Army and I have what my wife calls an "I love me" wall with pics and awards displayed.

I agree with Michelle. My dad was Navy during Nam. He shows us his blues and ribbons once. Since then they have been in the closet and jewelry box. He only showed them to us because they asked. I think all people are different. My friend’s brother used to have his army gear and photos everywhere from his 3 tours in the Middle East. One day he just put it all away.

To bad people have nothing else to do but to violate someone home/property. If they find a door open, close it, and if can be locked do the right thing and lock it. You can’t tell me they don’t take things when they leave. If the house is abandon, it still belongs to someone which they are paying taxes still, wish these people would be hunted down and charged with criminal trespass with possible theft charges.
