Exploring Abandoned Bank With Huge Vault And Safe Deposit Room
The abandoned historical bank with stained glass was built in 1925. The bank interior featured exquisite limestone details, an ornate ceiling with decorative chandeliers, an immaculate stained-glass centerpiece, and had a variety of vaults for customers safe keeping. The bank closed for good in 1989. It sat abandoned and neglected for several decades. In 2019, renovations began on the building. Even though the renovations have slowed down recently, much of the notable and original architecture has been preserved.

The little numbered booths/rooms weren't for meeting with a banker. They're to provide privacy for people to look in their safety deposit boxes in private. LOVE your vids and explorations!

You'd make a great Architect, Bob. You've got a sharp eye! Especially when it comes to details. That lobby ceiling is amazing! I've seen that type of design in a very old hotel here in town. It was built back in the late 1800's...but, it's anything but abandoned! Still in operation and some floors are reserved for students at the community college, which is a 20 minute walk away *in an old fort that goes back to the 1700's!!* Most of the buildings used there are former military buildings like the chow hall, commander's quarters etc. I used to get stoned and take my dog for walks there at night. Not a good place to be stoned at 1am, creepy as hell!! I would sometimes hear friggin' footsteps around us but I could never locate where they were coming from. And it was just me, my dog and the overnight security crew of 3!! And *they always* had crazy stories! Nobody among the security personell liked working night shift so they rotated them. I can't blame them!

I've never seen a bank like this till now. Thanks for sharing the video! That vault is something else. The ceiling and walls reminds me of an ancient Roman temple. When you cut the film of the vault to the next clip, was that another persons shadow quickly darting from right to left just behind the iron gate on the left? It's there for like just a millisecond at 1:20-1:21. It doesn't look normal.

Correction again: the vault in the teller area would not safe deposit boxes. That's where the tellers kept their cash boxes at the end of the night! No bank would ever allow a customer to come behind the teller line

Did you know back in love 50 60 70s you know people took pride in their work it's not like nowadays everything's made out of plastic or plastic nobody has any pride in their work nothing like that man and that vault is killer that is one thing you don't want shut on you and have it locked cuz I have a feeling they couldn't find the combination to save their life or to save yours

This is the same vault you showed before, isn't it? It was flooded with a couple feet of water but you guys went for it anyway just to get the footage. I thought that was pretty awesome, and it's incredible to see what it looks like after being drained. Great video.

This is a completely different bank in a different state. We wouldn't make a video on the same location twice. There's so many abandoned banks with circle vaults like this in the USA.

I disagree with what you said about those rooms that had the numbers on them. There's no way customers met with bank Personnel to discuss accounts. Those rooms were used for privacy when customers remove their safe-deposit boxes from the main vault

Im sure the bank was completely cleaned out when it was closed. Then it sat abandoned for several years and thats when the basement flooded.

Its probably center's of old tellers that has passed away. Still in ghere ,this to is creepy like the abandoned funeral home ,they left the building and not Elvis. Someone probably took all the old jewelry form those deposits. Like from the movie Titanic, so old spooky yall do thus all the time ,I know you are nit alone ,well keep me it going, that could be my horror story instead of watching 👀 a movie ,I just chime in on this.
