Crazy how much decay happend in that amount of time if the owner passed away in August 98. Probably didn't have anybody to take over the business. I wonder if the casket was empty? But I would be too scared to look plus it seems disrespectful. Love your videos. Only thing: I sped it up a bit cause it was a little to slow for me but that's just a personal preference.
@sepulcher_stalker2 жыл бұрын
It's highly unlikely a body would be left in there, or ever was in there for the matter. It was most likely being set up for a funeral but the body may have been moved to a different funeral home whenever the owner may have passed. Even then, caskets are incredibly expensive so that's doubtful. It may have just been on display...some funeral homes do that.
@totallynotspooked2 жыл бұрын
@@sepulcher_stalker Thank you so much for the clarification. I'm glad there was probably noone inside. Would be way too spooky if someone left a corpse in there. It's so weird tho that nobody every cleaned it up. It looks like as if they had a funeral service and just up and left.

@@Your_local_youtuber276 I was refering to August 1998 since there was a calender in the owners home turned to that page. And I just assumed that might be the year & month he/she passed away.

4:48 hi!! I'm someone who's been to many funeral homes in my life and plans to have a career in the funeral field, and I'd like to tell you that caskets are VERY expensive and most people are buried in the caskets that they host funerals in, however, some are indeed used temporarily for a funeral service and the body may be moved into a different (cheaper) casket for burial or it may be cremated (not very common). Both of these are not very common, but it's likely that it could have been purely for display and never had any bodies inside of it. Not many funeral homes will do that unless they're preparing for a funeral service, so it certainly still leaves a lot of mystery...hope this might help with any questions you have concerning the presence of the casket :)

Second that, I work for many funeral homes as a First Call Responder. Im the guy that gets sent out to recover the bodies from wherever they are and for all kinds of cases. Occasionally I also assist embalming. I actually feel tempted to salvage the table because those are expensive as hell and easy to maintain.
@weirdwes6725 Жыл бұрын
Also, there are rental caskets for people who are only having a viewing then cremation. Could have been a rental casket for that purpose.

the way i wanted you to open that casket 😭 i knew you wouldn’t but just a peek. This was a super cool video i really enjoyed! Not sure why people are being so rude about your voice in the comments - if I were there I’d be keeping my voice down too. I’m not sure how good KZbin’s automated captions are as I didn’t turn them on, I just turned the volume up as best I could XD I think it adds to the spooky vibes. As for the hanging bear I feel like that was totally something vandals did, but still wild to see lol.
@IHeartGameplay2 жыл бұрын
Honestly given everything shown here, it was likely the owner was just an elderly man and had to close it when he needed to go to assisted living. (or maybe died.) With all the mobility aids there I am surprised he managed to keep the funeral house up and going for as long as he did. The building looks like it was made around the 40s, but the furniture looks like from the 80s to early 90s, which does sync up with the calender stopping at August of 96. I hope nothing bad happened to this man and he just ended up living old and happy in a retirement home or with family.

I really like your comments through the video, it makes me feel very connected to the mood and the stories that that place may have. Also, I'm impressed with some of the objects there, specially in the second floor. The tv, the deco, the newspapers... all of that seems very beautiful and like a relic. In one hand I want that place to stay exactly as it was because I admire the decay and to being able to see the pass of time, but in the other hand I feel like it's a waste to leave those things there waiting for them to broke or get lost in dirt and such. I wonder if it would be disrespectful to take something for an abandoned place, or if it would be good to give those objects another life. Idk, I loved your video!

11:23 so to answer that question, the reason hydrogen peroxide is used is because it’s really good at killing bacteria (which is why it’s often used in cuts), when your working with a dead body, you can’t expect what’s gonna be inside, so taking proper safety precautions is key.
