Good to know thank you Bill. When you drove did you get frustrated if rv’s were parked in designated truck stop areas though?

Yes I did I got frustrated if there wasn't any spots for a big truck and I seen them smaller vehicle yes because there's always room in the car section even though it says in truck stops no overnight parking in the front where car is parked all she's got to do is go in and ask the manager if it's okay you spend the night they were tell you okay that's always been my experience

Hey everyone, I teach wilderness medicine - and Altitude is one of the topics we cover. In general the rule is 1 day per 1000 feet of elevation gain ( your mileage may vary.) The great thing about driving to the mountains vs flying is that you gain elevation much slower. So your body has time to acclimate. Moderate exercise and hydrate to help speed the process. Love the videos. Keep it up.

It was so sweet to meet you folk today in Reno, NV! I was sitting outdoors in a cafe and saw you drive around the corner, and I say to my friend "hey, I know those guys from youtube!". She encouraged me to go over and knock on your window. (Thanks Annette ; ) Thanks so much for indulging my van conversion obsession which I'm about to embark on myself! Sending much love and wishes on your trip to Tahoe and then Mexico. And, hey thanks Kevin for the in-person tip on the tires...fantastic, as this piece I hadn't quite worked out yet.

Sold my house in shock hill last ski season. Sad but my wife passed away the year before and the memories were too hard. Breck is near and dear to my heart. Check out empire burger or flipside.....for a good burger. Columbine cafe has a good breakfast. My take out place for breakfast. The crepe place is super popular. Crowded a lot but they opened a second location as well. Hit up the spot on main. It’s a tourist must. Duggan’s deli for good hoagie. Parking is right in front. Enjoy the mountain. I always have. A Basin is more of the locals mountain. Love it there.

The first year I went to Breckenridge was 1981 (gulp !). My kids and I stayed at Beaver Run Resort and all the rooms had something brand-new called “Cable TV”, which featured something called “MTV”. I told my kids that we were there to ski and not to watch television. I ended up watching MTV more than they did. Back then, snowboarders were not welcome on the slopes.

Also...to me....the dispensaries in breck on airport rd are a little cheaper..typically....than Silverthorne and frisco. Native root’s prices are ok but the bud is a little weak some times. And A basin is more what people call it. Instead of Arapaho basin. ✌🏻🤙🏻

It is still in Summit county. So it is close to a lot of other mountains with towns. It is the least expensive lift ticket in the area and no beginners to fight with. Love that mountain. It is the highest in the area and usually the coldest. So don’t go there on a very cold day. Love the content.
