That’s pretty cool. Watching these videos makes me want to buy a van and tour the country. America is beautiful!

Your loss of heat is at least partially related to those back doors....I added insulated curtains across my back doors and it helps immensely.

Solid idea thank you!

Hi folks, just discovered your channel 2 days ago but have been binge watching and have seen every vid LOL. For water, try local fire stations because the constantly wash their vehicles inside the station all year. AND, they would never turn down Taylor lol. awesome watching the quality of your vids from the build to the trip down the coast. Happy trails!

Thank you Charles!!! That’s a great idea we’ll keep that in our back pocket and thank you for watching, really appreciate it!!!

It really is, we used to take it for granted before we realized how magnificent this country is!

In my experience I try to think of metal as a conduit for cold. Ive covered any bare metal and it doesn't "sweat". With the windows make sure there is zero air movement between glass and blackout curtain. This will help keep the windows from sweating. Good luck 👍

Lived in Big Sky Montana for a few years. Blue Moon Bakery...get ya some. Also make sure you get a burrito right across from there at the wrap shack. Big Sky does not dissapoint

Agh we missed the bakery since we rushed to the mountain every morning but we’ll be back! Loved it

Awesome -- Thanks for that!! Real Cliff-hanger though.... Was thinking -- instead of cracking your roof vent and losing some of that precious heat, I've heard of people having some success using mini (micro?) de-humidifiers to tackle that kind of moisture. Thought I'd mention it, obviously don't know if it would work for you.

Wish I thought of that awhile ago! We’re coming to the tail end of our winter trip, (still got a good amount of videos to create don’t worry) by the time I get one will be in warm weather again!

Man, van life in the snow does look like a lot of fun. Good thing I don't have to worry too much about that in Australia unless I go to the snow down south. Good video.

Thanks Dirk! There are certainly some additional challenges

So I can't wait until I can afford to build my van setup but mine will be a little different, I've only seen one other van that has the bathroom going across the van with a double door. Have the shower head on one side and the toilet on the other. What are some opinions from people that actually live in a van? I want to do it right after the bed.

I am designing my future camper van and was already thinking about snow on the solar panels. Wouldn't it be an easy solution to lay out a tarpaulin on the roof at night? Are there arguments that speak against this? My thoughts are just theoretical. Maybe there are some practical issues with that.
