Still love this movie today since my childhood. I was 15 when this movie came out in 87. The silhouette of Melanie's (E. Johnson) boo bee's ooo lala.. I built a plastic model back in the day of the Mustang. Such a cool SciFi movie. Cool the van is still there. The graffiti is kinda fitting with the towers in the middle kinda looking like a spray can.. Always wanted to find and visit here. Thanks for sharing.

Yea that scene with the big circles with the giant spray can looking things always stood out for me... I always wanted to go there and then I found out they are very close to where I live so I had to go... I was amazed to find the van still there... but it is understandable since you can only get to the van on foot.

Never knew about this spot. Your video shows me all that I would need to see. The aerials were nice. I did miss seeing the little dogs. Mine died 6 months ago. Take care and keep up the adventures.

There are a bunch of tires at the bottom of the pit.. those are probably the ones seen in the movie.

I live in Arizona so it wouldn't be difficult for me to get up there, but I've talked to the city planners and I believe the site has been closed off for redevelopment since March. Seems odd to me honestly, I work in construction/housing in AZ as my main job, and I can't imagine that ground being steady enough to build properties on for at least a century, not to mention all the toxins in the air from all the manganese mining. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqjJmWqhqd-rjKssi=G7M6CB_FsAqPJ2Vm
