LoFi effects can be incredibly inspiring and creative, they can add character to sounds that otherwise sound boring or generic, love'em all!

I loved the idea of the gen loss, but ended up with an sp404 MK2 which might not be as deep for tape emulation but offered a lot of other effects and obviously loads of sampling options. When comparing the price points it seemed like an obvious choice.

Would also recommend the Strator plugin for the Korg NST-1 for tape wobble.

Does any of these pedals come close to the Roland P-6 Sample Rate options?

They all offer something similar in terms of bit rate / sample rate reduction - although generation loss is kind of in an entire realm of its own in this comparison.
