Then we got the exact opposite of Dagon or Molag or any of the other Daedric princes that didn't have a Aedra origin with the exception of Azura, a Daedric prince so powerful that all the other Daedric princes that came from Sithis feared so much that they would all come together to defeat him and make him become the thing he hated the most, chaos. His name was Jyggalag, Daedric prince of Order.

Mehrunes gets a bad reputation. If he didn't destroy shit, nothing would ever change, you need an antagonist to do something so a protagonist can react to it.

Nice video as always! Just a thing: What about the interactions between Mehrunes and Alduin? I've read a thing like: Alduin has to destroy Nirn for make space for the regenerated one, but Dagon (not like how is now) "stole" a part of the plane for not be destructed and put it back after the Alduin destruction, so the dragon king cursed him with the destiny of destruction by the purpose of remove those extra parts. Excepts that now Mehrunes want do destroy all....

I love your series. Learned so much in such a short period. Perhaps I can give this to you: The Dagger is restored by the Dovakiin in the 4th era to help the owner of the mythic Dawn museum add it the his collection.

Thanks! The dagger CAN be restored by the Dovahkiin, but it could also not be. While it's likely that the canon story is that it's restored, we don't really know the proper canon for things like that until a future game mentions it.

Minor nitpick: Martin Septim is a bastard son of Emperor Uriel VII, so while he had the magical lineage needed to use the Amulet of Kings and banish Mehrunes Dagon, he was not technically an heir to the Empire of Tamriel. His bastardy (and the closely held secret of his parentage) is why he managed to live long enough to end yhe Oblivion Crisis.

Matthew Melange What does player agency and choice have to do with supposedly bad lore? The lore is exactly the same with some slight differences due to the differences of the cultures and peoples of morrowind and cyrodill. Which actually is very much true to life.
