I loved this episode. I’ve always wanted to visit Turkey (I’ve only been in the airport). I didn’t know that their cat population rivaled Morocco’s. LOL!! It’s so wonderful that Avalon and Largo are experiencing history instead of just reading about it. I truly wish that more kids could get this kind of opportunity. I think that what you are are doing is is fabulous!

OMG! You guys are so adorable!!!! My dark heart can't take the sweetness! Not even two minutes into the video and you guys are so cute. I love how Jessica tells the upset cat "its time for a mindfulness moment." I'm going to have to try that with the kitties where I live when they aren't getting along. And I love how Will tells Jessica "You don't get hangry, you get hungr-lovely. So sweet!!!!

Thanks Ginger, you are too kind. Mindfulness and Owning It are my two big words for 2019! We are hitting it out of the park on both so far. We needed to be more mindful as travel can sometimes keep you on a spinning wheel. As for owning it, well, we are good at what we do with our biz and it was time to shout it from the rooftops. Why not share my secrets with the cats. Ha. xoxo

Loved your visit to Ephesus! Not quite sure if you are still in the area, but if you do, make sure to visit the home (sanctuary) of the Virgin Mary. Not big, but quite touching. Still working with MDC to see if we could make the talk possible. I will be emailing you shortly. Regards history education: 100% agree with you, travel is the best teacher, only if you do so with an open mind and an intent to learn. Many blessings and safe travels! On another note: I see you are a cheese lover, so you must try the cheese dessert "Knafe" or "kanafeh" or "konafa" make sure to have it warm when the gooey mozzarella-like cheese makes a good compliment to the toasted shredded phyllo dough. It's usually served on small round metal trays and dosed with honey or a sugary syrup which can be infused with rose/orange water and garnished with pistachios. A common dessert through the middle eastern countries; not quite sure if you have had it already. Enjoy!
@WorldTowning5 жыл бұрын
We have already left, darn. We tried to visit Mary's home, but it was not covered under our "all access pass," we still planned to go, but it was $$$$. Great, we are here when you are ready. Can't wait to corrupt the youth of American (wink, wink) with the reality of travel being possible. I had Künefe two days ago. I liked it, but it was too cheesy for me. I can't believe something can be too cheesy for me. Ha.

Jessica, I know you embrace your pink hi-lightened hair but, if I may, you look stunning in the hat. On a more important note, this episode was great. I love learning and this fit the bill; from the Bible reference of Apostle Paul, Largo's cats, RNR, Avalon's acting and quiz question, and being weird enough to walk up to a total stranger and want the same meal...you guys rocked the Ephesus and Turkey.

I grew up in southern Europe (in the last remaining ancient Greek City State still to be politically independent no less, though it's not been Greek for millennia), and ruins ancient, mediaeval, and modern (even prehistorical) are all around -- so I definitely prefer cats !! Still, Ephesus does look rare and impressive, and it's so cool that it's the Library where they invented the codex !! And the marriage vows quote is of course from Ephesians ... BTW starting my Camino again back at Aix in about 10 days, after an injury grounded me for about two months. I'll walk to Arles at least, to see if my thigh will behave (it feels like it will), then on to Perpignan and etc
@WorldTowning5 жыл бұрын
Wow, what a cool place to grow up. We have seen some impressive ruins, but Ephesus just hit us hard. Congrats on the Camino return. So sorry you had an injury, but glad you are finding your way back. Buen Camino. You can do it!

Hi guys !! I read somewhere (certainly not in Ephesus library) that a tourist, by defintion, is the one who came and we saw him coming. But, it seems to me that you guys don't like to be seeing as tourists. It's little bit confusing, isn't it ??. I hope that one day Avalon will find out the exact definition of neolithic sightseers and who they were??. 🤔💤🤔💤 Take care and have good time.🍀☘
@WorldTowning5 жыл бұрын
We are tourists, by definition and I am not offended by someone calling us one at all. However, I do see us very different from tourist, not better, just different since this is a lifestyle choice rather than a vacation and because of our commitment to meet and befriend locals along the way. I am so chill about titles. Thanks for commenting and watching our vlogs.
