FYI, the golf carts are more than likely either a tournament or men’s/ladies weekly group play. They generally line up all the participants at the 1st tee and drive out together. The carts drop off at assigned holes until everyone is at a hole then everyone starts at the same time utilizing all the hole at once. For example if you start on the 4th hole you would play around the course and finish on the 3rd hole. That way everyone starts and finishes at approximately the same time

Lauren you may need to go get your eye checked. You’ve scratched it, and they can put a drop in your eye and once they put a fluorescent light to it, it will show exactly where the scratch is or scratches.. then give you some drops or an ointment to help with discomfort. That is a very uncomfortable feeling. Hopefully it’s better by morning🙏🥰 Blessings from TN❤

You have to try boiled peanuts! Bet your boys would love them! I haven’t had them in probably 10 yrs. I was making a hotel reservation for Thanksgiving & the reservationist saw that I live in SC. She said she’s from GA and lives in Nebraska now. We started talking about foods in the south. She said she misses boiled peanuts. I told her how I always had to stop at a fruit stand if they had boiled peanuts when my Mom was traveling with me. She loved them on a road trip. I went home to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Stopped at a gas station when I started my trip and saw they had boiled peanuts. Thought about the reservationist, had a good chuckle and bought some. They were so good. Decided I may have to start my Mom’s tradition of getting boiled peanuts when I go on a road trip. Please make some! It’s a southern thing but I bet you Alaskans would love them as much as us Southerners do!

I love boiled peanuts. I lived in Georgia for almost 20 years. My mom got my youngest hooked on them. Every time I go south , I get boiled peanuts. Walmart actually sells them in a can. You just warm them up! So good.

Interestingly, the treatment was the eye doctor prescribed a clear contact lens for me to wear in that eye. He said that every time you blink with a scratched cornea, it pulls on the scratch, creating pain and preventing it from healing quickly. Within a few hours of wearing the contact lens, I felt so much better. That was the treatment 23 years ago, so it’s probably not the same treatment today. 😁

Noms are pretty much the candy mixtures concoctions we made here in Hawaii growing up. lol. We would get gummy candies, mix them put li hing (salted plum) powder, dried lemon peel and mix them up. So yummy and fun. Kinda like our Hawaii style chamoy/tajin Mexican candies that people have in the mainland.

A scratched eye is so painful. Nothing you can really do other than wait it out. I agree that one of the best things about Hawaii is the fresh fruit stalls. Depending on when you are there in the season, the fruits change up. June/July is a great time for fresh mango.
