In today's video, I start a discussion about Female-Centered Spirituality, where spiritual practice is aligned with women's experiences. As we unpack the differences between male-centered spirituality and patriarchal ideals and the diverse expressions of female spirituality, this discussion serves as a jumping-off point for those seeking a spiritual connection that resonates more deeply with their experiences outside male-centered spiritual practice. 🌟
*note- My apology for the black border and the small image covering some of the text. For some reason, the original recording disappeared but I was able to piece it together. All the text covered by the video square is below.

Interesting lecture! Thanks! I'm really into feminine wisdom. Sharon Blackie is one of my favorite authors. I think it's important for us women to inspire each other and have feminine images and archetypes that show us how you can be a woman in today's world.

I think this was wonderful Christine. I think creating spaces for sisterhood is important for sure. I have talked many times with my friend Cortney about this. I do actually have a group on Facebook called "The Sisterhood" and had been thinking of doing video get togethers and activities and chats for women. I love this so much! You are fabulous. 😍😍😍

Oh that incredible! I think our strength is going to come from these little micro groups. I kind of got inspired when I read Burning Woman by Lucy Pearce, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough (yet) to dance around the fire naked with my girls. lol But I like the idea of connection, and discussion and building each other up in these ways. And celebrating what kind of transcendence we are attracted to. I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I wish there was another option other than FB. :) I think finding it for me will be part of the quest. I just posted in my ETSY shop, but I haven't formally announced it yet, but I'm planning a Zoom gathering in Feb. I'll make a video this week with the details. Thanks again Rachele! xoxo

I applaud your bravery in making and sharing this video. I am not sure I would describe Brene Brown as a spiritual practitioner - I am NOT saying you shouldn’t include her as doing important, helpful work adjacent to what you are describing. Specifically, I am not sure she would see herself as driving female-centered spirituality the way I think you are describing it. I think she’d say she does what she does to transform everyone into better versions of ourselves and she aims to heal toxic corporate culture (and I think she is a Christian). I say this as someone who is halfway through participating directly in corporate leadership training with her and I’ve been immersed in Brene Brown for a year already. Otherwise, what you are saying is interesting and thought provoking. I don’t agree with everything, but I think you have something compelling to say and present it well.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I truly value your opinion! I think spirituality can be hard to talk about because it's so personal for everyone. My hope is to have a conversation about it in a way that supports our unique experiences. :) You make a really good point. I'm not sure BB would agree to be labeled as a female-centered spiritual practitioner, but the work she does, invites connection and discussion, so there is a certain type of outcome to her work that I think touches on the possibility of something that feels different than structured religion. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! xoxo

I think you should incorporate her, no doubt. I just would take care not to give the impression that she’s a practitioner of witchy arts.

@@GMarieWrites ooh! Got it! That makes sense. I can totally appreciate that. This isn’t really supposed to be witch specific and more on an exploration of spirituality around women share experiences. But I can completely see how it gives that impression. 🥰
