EXPLORING Fort Jefferson in the DRY TORTUGAS on a 42' Freeman Boatworks

We take a ride to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas on my friend Brad's 42 Freeman Boatworks. It's a 3 hour run each way but we take the Kids for the first ever trip to see the Fort! We show you along the ride as well as around Fort Jefferson when we walk around and go inside. Of course we had to do a little snorkeling before we came home so we finish the vide with some underwater footage from down there! Enjoy!

I remember camping there a few days as a kid, back in the 90s. Summer camp. We kayaked and snorkeled like crazy and went to the fort every chance we got, cause it was the only place on the whole blessed island that had a drinking fountain. At night, we'd stargaze and watch glowing waves of florescent hit the outer moat. It felt like the edge of the world. It was......magical. Thanks for sharing this. You can take the boy out of Florida, but you can never really take the Florida out of the boy. I should go again someday, while its still pristine.

I don't typically leave negative comments, So here it goes. You have young toddlers on the boat without PFDs while underway. Your boat is beautiful and very fast. It only takes a second for things to go very wrong.

Nice ride, I'm enjoying seeing some of the landmarks, it's been a while since I've been down you're way so reaquainting myself with the landmarks is nice. Florida Keys is truly a gift from heaven and I am so glad that the people that have made the area their home take it serious. Lots of history there, and it still feels like you're going back in time when you travel US 1 to get to Key West. I enjoyed the 150 miles in its entirety.

Fort Jefferson is a massive but unfinished coastal fortress. It is the largest brick masonry structure in the Americas, and is composed of over 16 million bricks.

Had a greast trip there in 2018. Wife and kids loved it. Nice snapper all over the fort, big lobster, and plenty of sharks. Was a great day trip. You guys looked like you enjoyed it as well.

In 2001,was there snorkeling..a young girl drowned...i was the one who found her floating...it was very hard to deal with...have not been back since,i injoy your videos so much...such a beautiful place...ole fla boy here...peace ..😎

There is a very large crocodile in that moat. It hangs out in a culvert like passage most of the time, but occasionally it comes out in the open.
