Exploring Girgaon With Atul Kulkarni | Tere Gully Mein EP 43 | Curly Tales

On this episode of Tere Gully Mein, we explored the generations-old Maharashtrian food joints in Mumbai’s Maharashtrian locality of Girgaon with the national award-winning actor Atul Kulkarni.
The area of Girgaon has a rich Maharashtrian history and we explored the Maharashtrian joints over a conversation with Atul Kulkarni. He spoke about his NSD days, peers, love for
Maharashtrian cuisine, fitness regime, diet, and his acting journey. He shared his experience
about exploring quaint European cafes and some of his iconic movies including his national
award-winning acting in Natrang. We started our food journey at Vinay Health Home and savored their rassa bhaji, dalimbi usal, misal and sabudana vada. Then we headed out to Sujata Uphaar Gruha for a Maharashtrian Thali ending the meal with ukdiche modak and aamras! This episode is sure to make your mouth water.

Thank you for inviting Atul Kulkarni Sir to the program. I distinctly remember my experience while watching the movie Natasamrat. He portrays the character so well that it made me cringe and angry every time someone called him a 'Nacha'. That is the beauty of splendid acting and he engaged the audience so well that we felt we were part of the experience. Totally worth some bombil fry and dal tadka rice!

Loving the spree of Maharashtrian actors in Tere Gully Mein in the quintessentially Maharashtrian areas of Mumbai. First Priya Bapat and now Atul Kulkarni. Must say, he's a difficult guy to interview. Arohi did a great job. Hoping for more such fun episodes of this series in the coming weeks. This series is fast becoming my favourite over Sunday Brunch, primarily because of the areas which are showcased in the episodes.

I felt really good how he explained the variations in Maharashtrian food across different regions and the difference is vast. For majority non Maharashtrians misal pav, vada pav is probably the only things they are aware of. Even there are 4-5 different ways puran poli is prepared in Maharashtra

Great actor. Level-headed gentleman. Committed social worker. Quietly dedicates his time and efforts for tribal children's education. No nonsense and a genuine guy. Atul Kulkarni. Feet firmly on ground. I am pleasantly surprised to find so many similarities in living life, outings, traveling etc between us. I spent 7 yrs in Solapur in Medical college. Met him a few times during college drama festivals. Could never predict or fathom the fire in his belly for acting. God bless. Many more laurels, Atulsheth.

Only watched it because I love Atul Kulkarni and this episode is exactly why i love the guy. My man shot shots and aarohi and we all learnt so much about Maharashtra. There is nothing like Maharashtrian food. It's just an umbrella term for all the food we have in all the regions right from vidharbha, konkan, Marathwada. My man openly said he's an atheist. Called out rapid fires and people criticizing you if you don't know something.

Not a single minute was wasted...Atul is an Artist with great depth be it in his Profession or Passion and Arohi seems to have done her homework very well to keep Atul tightly engaged... Liking he had for an Engineering subject and attempting it twice to clear was a gentle and humorous submission....a Student who would never learn from his Guru ( referring to Mrs.Atul ) was another one... Peel Atul layer after layer and he has something different to reveal... He has also played Villain roles in few Tamil movies..and has done enough justice to whatever character he had played...
