Another great place to see Manhattan skyline and learn some history and only 5-8 minutes by ferry. Great video and well done!

I love that you shared visiting Governors Island, Little Island and Cold Spring. As a long, long ago NYC resident, I’d never enjoyed, much less known, of those destinations. Of course, Little Island is a newcomer, but the other two were unknown in my early years R.

@@thecrimedog8424 I did find out that Governors Island is actually closed during the winter season. The last day it's open is October 31, which is a shame, but it's probably much better to visit in the spring anyways.

Thanks for showing Governors Island because it's a place that can be easily overlooked. The Island looks big in territory and it's very beautiful and interesting. Although I agree it must be creepy at night.

You seem to like a coffee a lot. Can you tell which one is good or bad coffee? I went to Starbucks reserve 2 days ago but sadly every coffee from different beans was the same for me O_O .. The hammock scene was pleasing to watch haha.
@Jamesnu3 жыл бұрын
I can't live without it! Yeah, I can somewhat tell the good coffee from the bad, but honestly I'll pretty much drink any coffee and the real good stuff can be pretty expensive. Yes, those hammocks were awesome! I wish I had more time to hang out in them, but maybe next time.

Still "binge" watching - Fort Hancock / Sandy Hook National Park - day trips are not easy because there is no train service. Yet, the location is a marvel! As a boy scout & leader, this has always been a rememberable location for our many overnights at this location, do check it out - thank you for your wonderful cinematic adventures you share with us all. Sorry for the "side-track", but this offering made me think of Sandy Hook!

How long does it take to explore the island?
@Jamesnu6 ай бұрын
It depends. It's much quicker to go about the island with bikes. You could probably do everything in a couple of hours, but I took things more leisurely by walking, stopping for lunch and taking a number of photos. One could probably spend a whole day their at a relaxing pace.

love your adventures around the island!! the fort looked cool! I guess it is a place you may want to picnic at rather than the weekday fare they offer. I would be interested in the history of the island. why doesnt anyone live there anymore? Toronto has an island and people who reside there are grandfathered into their lease agreement with the city. there are heavy restrictions for any changes to the existing structures in order for it to keep it's quaint feel. another charming video!
@Jamesnu3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, it’s such a large space and with no one living there it feels a little strange at times, but I kind of like the quiet feel. I’m not sure of the exact reason why no one can live there. You’re right too. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic! Maybe I’ll do that next time!
