Born and raised in Henderson. Probably weird to say but Green Valley Ranch was actually a huge part of my childhood. Same thing with Sunset Station. I went to Green Valley High School and alot of my friends would meet up and catch a movie at one of these casinos or go cosmic bowling most Saturday nights. Casinos bring me a sense of home and comfort weirdly enough.

I love Henderson . We stay at Lake Las Vegas and bring the paddle boards. Lake Mead is minutes away as well . If you like hiking ,water sports, biking, it’s a fun place. Thanks for showing Henderson!

I loved staying in Henderson while visiting Vegas. Easy to get around, nice vibe, and the hotel I stayed at was in Lake Las Vegas area. I will stay there every time I go to LV now.

The M Resort is my fav spot when I drive in from L.A. Its a nice spot away from the strip and it puts you more close to the local spots in Henderson.

I really wish you were around 42 years ago whe I started coming out to vegas. In those days the visitors were treated much better but the hotels were hot or miss. I don't get out there much anymore but its really enjoyable to see whats grooving out there. Keep it up pal! And Greta is adorable!

Fun fact, Green Valley Ranch had it's own reality show in 2004-2005 called American Casino. I think you can still find some episodes on You Tube.

OMG!!!! This was absolutely fantastic! I try to tell people about what it was like when I lived there and there are no videos that would properly showcase what I would see...but this is perfect! I am so looking forward to your review of "M" etc! I am so, so serious I would have never, ever left if it wouldn't have been for a family emergency! I love that place so much!! This is fabulous! Thank you! (PS: part of why I subscribe and watch Chakits, is because he's often around Henderson and places like that! I love to watch Chakits touring houses, he's soooo sincere! My best friend used to live in Green Valley. From his house you could see the construction of Green Valley Ranch and the District. It was really cool to see it all come together and we had some great times there when I would visit. Oh, and GVR pre-dates Red Rock by a couple of years.

My wife and I have stayed at Green Valley Ranch. You can see my review at Tripadvisor. There were things we really liked, and some hiccups too. But I would return some day, it's very nice.

I love Green Valley Ranch. It's usually my pre vegas stay before the strip. Nice, luxurious, great pool. I recommend. Never stayed at M.

I lived in Henderson for 3 years specifically Anthem area. Loved living there! Safe and not as dirty as some parts of Vegas. Lots of shopping and eating. Can walk outside and not feel scared. Highly recommend if your moving to Vegas! 👍🏽

I lived in Lake Las Vegas, beautiful. I don't know if you know but Obama used to stay out there at the Weston every time he came to NV, which was alot. He played golf right below my house on the golf coarse. We would have the Motorcade there , very close, and secret service all around. Very cool in such a small area. His favorite was the sushi restaurant at the Weston.

Hey Pompsie, You missed the fact that the Raiders have a 75 million dollar headquarters building and practice facility in Henderson. They were only at the M resort before it was built. Just trying to help. You should check out the facility. It's awesome. Also, Derek Carr and John Gruden live in Henderson. If you could get tours of their houses I'd really appreciate it. Ha! And... the Raiders Owner Mark Davis is building a house there.

Please, please, please do Sunset Station? The interiors of these buildings.... people can't imagine the whole interiors are actually painted trompe l'oeil! Their air conditioned on the inside and yet you feel like you're outside looking at the outside of buildings!

Bought in Green Valley Ranch in 1995, before the casino, and everyone was in an uproar when they started building a casino in the neighborhood. If this is true, we were told that empty lot was always going to be a casino, since 1970s, but the home builders chose not to disclose to the buyers. Lived in GVR for 10 years & did not experience casino problems. Then came The District ~ food & fun right outside the neighborhood. Win!

@@ebo9963 it really depends on the neighborhood you live in. For me I actually do live closer to the M and there are a lot of nearby shops and centers, but I definitely would prefer to drive to them. Done it would quite a walk. But once you are in the shopping center there is a lot accessible to walk to. The district is like an outdoor mall of sorts. There’s also town square. Henderson does also have a lot of trails and bike paths that are really nice.

Henderson is actually the 2nd largest city in Nevada. We've been in the area for 20yrs and it has definitely developed more now with the Raiders practice facility. Henderson is definitely home to a lot locals and their families. We don't have to deal with the hustle & bustle. A more family oriented area and community.

I recommend staying at Green Valley! I love their hotel, their rooms are a really nice, the pool is fantastic, the food is great at the restaurants! I also have been to the spa for massage twice now and it’s amazing! Make more videos of Henderson!! Here in Henderson we have hidden gems. It great escape from fast paced Vegas.
