Do you have to go through a body scanner like in the US at security or is it just a pat down?

Hi thanks for watching 😎👍, the visa process is straightforward when you arrive, before passports are stamped and bags collected you will need a visa from one of the visa booths (there are loads , you will see people queuing for them) as for payment £25 or $25 they don't care as long as it's in cash. Have a wonderful time in Egypt

@@mattking750 UK pounds will be quite alright..its very hot and you will feel the heat as soon as you get in the airport drink plenty of water and wear a hat use sun screen for first couple of days till you get used yo the sun and have a lovely holiday

Hi, we had electricity all the time we spent in Egypt this time (2 weeks), and having been to Egypt some 10 times before and have never experienced any cut to the electricity supply. Thanks so much for watching and commenting 👍😎

Hi thanks for asking, I did not feel any safety issues with Hurghada or Luxor or indeed Aswan. The airport at Huggarda did seem to be paying a lot of attention to security but it was not too bad. Thanks for watching 😎👍 and commenting 👍

@@Mihusm I would purchase on arrival it's $25 US Dollars each (or £25 each so cheaper in us dollars), buying on line is fine but is a bit of a pain, and if for any reason you can not travel you have wasted your money. Definitely purchase on arrival, it's quick and easy !

@@Mihusm for visa you MUST pay cash for each passport. I would get US dollars before I traveled, the Egyptian pound is so unstable most tourist places in Egypt want dollars or euros or at a pinch british pounds. Most tourist hotels/restaurants will take cards but NOT for your visa on arrival. Hope this helps 😉👍😎

@@harryf1ashman hi thanks for watching, I personally didn't notice any public service bus, security is tight around the airport, so any public busses may drop some distance from terminal, taxis are cheap and easy to get and I would think much better in terms of a door to door service. Most hotels offer airport transfers.

@@TravelswiththeRussells Thanks. I was looking at getting into town. I believe there are shared mini-vans but from what I am reading a taxi is about 10 euros

@@harryf1ashman taxi cost depends on how good you are at haggling, try to uses local currency, a example was a taxi ride we had in Luxor he asked for 10$ or 10£ for two people for a 7 - 10 Minute trip, I ended up paying £100 Egyptian which is about £1.30 sterling. Always agree total price before you get in and don't forget a tip is expected. They love to price in dollars euros or pounds as tourists are used to there own currency but not Egyptian. Remember 10 euro is around £550 Egyptian pounds, petrol in Egypt is £15 Egyptian per ltr (about .25 euro cents per ltr) , wages for unskilled workers are less than €1.50 a hour. Tourists are generally seen as wealthy fools (which might be true Lol) and so try hard to extract the most cash out of us.. (I don't blame them) 😔

We are about 48hrs away from our first ever visit to Egypt/Hurghada holiday. Now you have got me worried mentioning $'s ! lol Are we ok paying for the visa in sterling ? We keep getting conflicting advice about what currency to bring so I was just going to take £, mostly for tips at the hotel, but if they take £ for visa I don't mind losing the odd few quid. What is your advice ?

Hi yes they take British £ for the visa no problem at all.. tips they will take most anything lol 🤣, don't worry about it at all you will have a great time. 👍

@@MrNoncomformist no we are talking about visa cards for money not e visa for visiting, you can get e visa but to be honest it's quick and easy to get a visa on arrival.

@@hiramabiff2017 let's just say hurghada airport is very much cleaner than Gatwick and the grass is cut outside and there is na grafitti on everything like in London

A much cleaner Airport than Gatwick and the grass outside Hurghada is much tidier and the hedges have been trimmed not like scruffy Gatwick london time the UK cleaned itself up and got rid of all the graffiti that is everywhere 😮
