ah, but in the US, I think the pay difference is significant? And from what I heard, they do have high unemployment same as everywhere else. But compared to china or Korea, Japan is more even level and makes sense so many come from there. lol at 15:38 the cartoons don't look like the majority of those who apply and get into Japan

One of the reasons that the US immigration system has been so successful is that family members can apply for immigration as well. This includes parents, siblings and their children, as well. I don't see Japan being able to offer this.
