Hi Dave. 15 years to get into King Crimson. During my teens had a cassette with tracks from their first 2 albums. Was OK for me, as I was into ELP at the time, but since the band broke-up thought King Crimson went south. Some friend told me they were great, payed no attention at all. Wanted a band with a consistent line-up. Mid-90s, me brother listened to the "big 3" 73-74 albums. "This is the best infra-supra-mundis of all prog-rock". Sounded chaotic-edgy-dissonant-non-sense to me. "The Great Deceiver" live box-set finally hit me at the turn of the century. Took time, but it was a worthy journey that suddenly stopped with "The Power to Believe". Another line-up with 3 drummers, LOL. Will check it out. Cheers.

After "The Great Deceiver" live renditions, those 3 albums blew me away instantly. From the 80s I'd pick "Requiem", the extended version as a real gem.
