Exploring: Kissimmee Florida 2021 - NOT The Horrible Place I Had Herd About?

Even on a Sunday this place has life! I thought i would HATE this town but my actual opinion was not what you or even myself would expect!

My Daughter In Law’s family moved there from NYC. He Parents are originally from Trinidad and they moved there, because their friends moved there. You are correct about the neighborhoods, mostly families from PR. Her Mom likes it, but mostly because her friends live on the same street. She has a beautiful flower garden, lovely house, but finds it a boring town. She would prefer a Condo in a town where there are things to do. As usual, you and Katie did a great job.👍 I want to add that my youngest lives in Ft Lauderdale and spent Thanksgiving with them. He couldn’t come North because of Covid.

Got here 3 1/2 years ago from Queens NY Retired Carpenter Musician Love the area , has all I need , and a public transportation system if needed A bus depot and sun rail stop Check out the Malao Bakery , a left where you made the U turn on 192 Or the Bway pizza bar , after the yellow light you passed after the packed ice cream parlor

If you’re there you should do the new Winter Garden area called Hamlin,Horizon West,Windermere,Clermont.Kissimmee is a really big place,you have to do a lot of drives to see the place,some areas can be bad,it has other areas like Hunters Creek that are pretty good.You can consider Kissimmee going all the way to US 27.

I've never seen that side of Kissimmee. Only 192 towards the hotels and Disney. Would love to see residential areas if you are ever back in the area. I like how that have many Latin grocery stores.

I come several times a year. I love it there. Good food, close to the parks and old Town/fun spot is a great place to hang out in the evenings.

I live in Kissimmee moved from New York and It is a nice place to live and be entertained. There are lots of nice homes here, restaurants , fun area and not far from anything. If ever you are in the area again hit me up I will show you around. I also have a KZbin channel" UTOPIAN FAMILY there are some places from Kissimmee area you can see.

not bad looking , very working class suburban feel . a lot more normal , than highlands county cities you were in . look like a lot of good places to eat . central florida cities equal half dead or crazy fast paced busy . been here in the past . same vibe .

It's always interesting to see people's perspectives. I had some friends from HS who moved to Kissimmee who I visited for several days back in '09 and it didn't seem all that bad to me. To me, the people were actually less rude and better drivers than where I came from. I made the mistake of buying and moving out west and holy crap I didn't think people got worse than where I came from but wow was I wrong!

The video is Ok but you missed upper 192 where it is cleaner nicer and Oldtown which is a nice bustling area and they have Food World across from Old Town where there are a few dozen quality food trucks. You missed Heritage Park, a large entertainment venue on 192 and the lakeside area which is beautiful. THE FLORIDA PROJECT was filmed just further up from the POLLO TROPICAL you stopped at. The premier Puerto Rican restaurant in the area is MELAO BAKERY minutes from where you turned around on 192 near Valencia College. The other well known Boricua restaurants are CILANTRILLO and Florida Bakery, both of which you guys drive by. The only CUBAN places in town is LA CASITA, ON John Yoiung Highway which you drove by and Cabos Cuban Mexican restaurant on 192 which you did not drive by. Kissimmee has really crappy parts but the far west and east ends are actually very nice and expanding. The economy has hurt the central city on 192 but now in 2023 things are definitely getting better.

Jose, you can do another video showing Lake Toho's (Tohopekaliga) waterfrond, the Totem and also visit Kissimmee's largest subdivision, Poinciana... I used to live there.

The most beautiful place in Kissimmee is a Village called GIVE KIDS THE WORLD. This is a vacation/village that if you have a child born with a terminal heath condition this village offers the child and his/her family a stay for ONLY 6 nights, where every entire thing is at no cost. This place runs on fundraisers and volunteers. NOTE: IF ANYONE IN FLORIDA IS LOOKING TO DONATE THEIR TIME TO AN INCREDIBLE PLACE, GET IN TOUCH WITH “GIVE KIDS THE WORLD VILLAGE” IN KISSIMMEE FLORIDA. Kissimmee is great..there are crazy drivers everywhere you go so it’s not a reason to smack it down. Al places have good people and not so good people. Kissimmee was a lot worse in the 90s and 2000s..crime has went down a lot if you look at the crime rates..they cleans up a lot too..I was told Disney make the county and city clean of the areas..My home city..

I used to live in Kissimmee for 25 years and seriously 😒 Hated it cause homelessness every where I literally seeing homeless people and beg for money allot :( is sad

Born and raised in Kissimmee and it's basically don't step on my toes i wont step on yours kind of place. This neighborhood is changing a lot of Cuba n, Venezuela and Dominican people..So l would say it would change.Its the mayor of Kissimmee Florida She refuse to do something about the homeless people!! People are also very racist against latino.most Latinos own property in kissimmee.l know alot of neighborhood in Florida that are trashy that have no latinos.l want to point out there is 33 Latino countries.No hate trying to educate.We have to vote out the mayor of Kissimmee Florida.

My employer has a division there and all of catalytic converts were ripped out of all the company trucks several times. Nothing but good for nothing criminals around there. Doing business and even spending time around there for a period time will just give you a migraine headache. Losers living in those shitty hotels on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. Bad Traffic all day long. That place was a tourist Mecca in the 70’s and 80’s but now it’s just a used up hell hole.
