I actually live in Lincoln, and the mall opens early for elderly/disabled people so they’re able to walk around as a form of exercise. And the pizza place actually makes the pizza/calzones from scratch! I’ve seen them doing it :-) it’s also one of my favs at the mall. The way you described everything is so accurate lmfao. I actually know why malls have so many jewelry stores! Stores with higher priced items like jewelry drive up the average dollar spent per square foot, and mall management uses those figures to attract new businesses and charge higher rent.

I love mall food courts its nice and convenient after shopping, its definitely a vibe. Where I'm from in the UK there isn't that many restaurants in the malls I've been to but when I was in America there was I loved it.

Speaking of food and malls, have y'all been to Box Lunch? It's not a restaurant, it's a store that sells like anime and Disney stuff and is called Box Lunch because they donate to local food banks. They're also owned by Hot Topic so of course they have a lot of similarities such as the button rack with all the pins that are like $2 each nowadays due to inflation.

the unfortunate thing is there used to be a runza in that food court and back in the day when malls were poppin, everyone would grab some ice cream from there after a meal. Also they used to have people with free sample outside of all the places and it looks like they dont do that anymore

About the jewellery places in the malls .... I'm not going outright say that they're not legit but I've seen enough shows like "Ozark" to wonder how they manage to have so much expensive stock to possibly be able to sell enough of it in a day to even make rent, let alone a profit. Even the cheapo stores have a hard time these days and people actually shop in them.
